- GKE add-ons like dnscache, istio etc

- Easy to provision GKE cluster

- Easy to implement via terraform for IaaC

- Auto-heal Node pools

- Mapping between GCP IAM Service account and GKE Service account to manage permissions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)?

- We can't add custom VM in existing GKE cluster

- We can have only one instance type in a node pool, it would be good if we can specify different instance types in a node pool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)?

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) has been a game-changer in my experience with container orchestration. Its standout feature, without a doubt, is the seamless scalability it offers. The ability to effortlessly scale applications up or down based on demand ensures optimal resource utilization, making it a reliable solution for both small projects and large-scale applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)?

There are some areas that could benefit from improvement. The learning curve can be steep for those new to Kubernetes, and although Google provides extensive documentation, a more beginner-friendly onboarding process or additional tutorials would be valuable. Enhancements in the user interface, especially for monitoring and managing clusters, could also contribute to a more intuitive user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)?

The best thing about GKE is that the complete platform is maintained by Google cloud platform itself and it is highly customizable.

As it is a cloud platform, the support is nice too. It is reliable to implement and can be cost efficient as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)?

GKE GCP console can work on the cosmetic UI it but works for other features. It is nice to have but not necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
