See there is a option to deploy application on EC2 but why i like ECS is because it easily integrates with CICD tools like Jenkins and the fargate serverless option is really good , no need of patching or overhead to maintain server Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One in a while it becomes issue when some error comes as ECS dont give direct access to inside server where containers are hosted but then we have logs option in cluster console which somehow helps to resolve issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
it is easy to use and deploy. The deployment can be done with terraform or cloudformaton. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, the error message is confusing. It is hard to debug Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy integration with ECR and UI to define your service and resource requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ECS makes it a little complicated to deploy it on external EC2 instances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Firstly it is better than EC2 compared to prices and solutions. Further, it allows the usage of docker, which is majorly used to make an application compatible with all devices. It efficiently manages the network and a cluster of applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only disadvantage is doesn't organize the tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's highly scalable it supports Docker so that's great. Easy to cluster applications and manage networks on the cloud. It's better than E2 in its price and solutions offered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't integrate well with our existing api it does not organize the tasks automatically it could use ai to streamline its BI capabilities. I would like to see more information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We can use Amazon ECS to easily manage and deploy k8 clusters into Cloud along with this ECS is fully managed by AWS and it is scalable you can group your containers to moniter at the cluster level.
You can easily integrate with AWS Devops tools like codepipelines and codedeploy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't see any dislikes on Amazon Elastic container services as it's one of the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love using ECS to run virtual machines with specific software encoding to the cluster, which makes running different versions of software much easier and better to handle, moreover, we also run microservices such as k4 & K8 using ECS for faster delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Much harder to cancel a cluster of operations in any given particular order, one has to start from the top and take the FIFO approach for 2x results in deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love using ECS because it's easy to deploy and manage k8 & k4 clusters into the cloud, Moreover we get faster scalability of containerised application for production use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's harder to terminate virtualized containers in a specific order through which we have to delete a cluster first more so if deployment speed could increase that would build 2x faster for production level code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Works really well, I can integrate with all kinds of applications whether it's a small application or a big one. I have used alds but I feel that aws storage service fills all the gaps. Can easily integrate with docker and microservices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compared to azure services I feel like the UI is not that user-friendly and is a bit complicated to use and understand some features along with the terms they use. Debugging can be a log difficult in elastic container. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- ECS is integrated with AWS, so you get all the great features like security and stability.
- ECS has all the parameters that Docker uses, so it is easy to replicate same container in both local and ECS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has some learning curve because of the way it integrates with AWS. You need to have IAM roles and setup networking to get this working. It is also expensive as hell!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
