Google Cloud storage is cheaper solution to store huge quantum of data and its integration is supported by many of the ETL tools now. Google Cloud Storage is data hub which feeds different systems and databases in our ecosystem. Google Cloud Storage supports most of the file formats. it offers ridiculously fast data ingestion which is consumed by our data scientist to build ML Models. It is tightly integrated with GCP products. Its not much pricey. I handles large amount of files easily since we have large quantum of files from streaming. Google Cloud Storage is an awesome storage platform that has a high-class performance, reliability, and has great affordability to all of my storage needs. In my position of work where I have to deal with a lot of data, it is very easy to move data into the analysis process with the help of Google cloud storage by using BigQuery and API for data extraction. BigQuery seems a bit problematic because it limits how much data can be exported through Google sheets, clipboards, etc. The JavaScript SDK is also quite difficult to work with. I also find it lacking for storing structured information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google Cloud Storage is a very efficient tool and it works smoothly with other Google platforms. There is no chance of losing data and it is a safe and secure platform to store my all important data. It enables me to share any type of data with other colleagues and it works great with an extra backup location and provides me a free account about 15GB storage. It gets slower sometimes and they still need improvement in Google slides. I have to clear trash data to make space. It is very expensive if you need a paid version and it does not delete folders properly. The upload option is quite confusing and time-consuming. Unlimited data can be stored in google cloud storage. It is highly available between different regions. It’s integrated with other cloud tools like google bigquery and machine learning tools very well to process large amount of data. Highly secure and permissions easy to manage. The most helpful feature of GCS, for my job function, is the ease in which we can move data into our analysis processes. We use Google BigQuery and GCS APIs to extract data from storage for analysis. With an increase in employees using more complex analysis functions (python/r scripts, etc.), the API integration with our data has been useful and not something we have been able to do previous to GCS. The only frustrating aspect of GCS has to do with BigQuery. The limits on how much data can be exported (via CSV, Google Sheet, clipboard, etc.) is significantly smaller than those of our previous service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
