Azure Blob Storage Reviews & Product Details

Simplicity and features that helps intrgrate different things with ease. We are currently storing csv files mostly. I am using it daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Different Groups we need to create for access control which is I feel needs to be improved a bit. This process of adding users to the existing group can be improved. For a user outside from a group is very difficult sometimes to access files from Blobs. We can add creating date-time in the default view in Storage Explorer, this will help me tracking files properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-Azure Blob Storage manages massive amount of Blob(unstructured) data helping in scaling seemlessly on demand and accomodating the growing data without compromising the performance. It supports Block blob, append blob and page blob.

-3 tiered storage options - Hot, Cold, Archive is supported allowing to choose the appropriate tier based on data retrieval and data acess frequency requirements to manage cost efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-Based on the selected redundancy option & geography, there might be some latency in accessing data sometimes, thereby effecting the performace of time sentitive applications.

-Data moving out of Azure Blob Storage incurs additional cost, specially when the data volume is high, which may becaomes costly for business sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The feature that I admire the most about azure blob storage is the ease of use and a large number of features that it provides. Be it data migration from a database to the blob, storing documents in blob to be accessed by code or its integration with data factory to store datasets it proves to be super efficient in all the cases. The only feature that I dislike about the blob storage is it's costing model. As the storage grows the cost also grows exponentially and more if you have enables NFS in your blob storage account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing that I dislike the most about blob storages is the inability of the lifecycle management policy to properly remove blobs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Azure blob storage provides us easily scalable cloud storage with number of useful features like sharing the files with pre-signed auth token, deleting the files based on certain pattern i.e after x days, organizing private & public files easily with pre-defined feature called containers, provides various services integrations support.

Initially, it can be overwhelming to explore all the things in the service, and you might feel that some features are missing or hard to find in the documentation as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Azure provides exclusive feature "containers" where we can create isolated storages with the following levels: public private and Container levels which makes it more easy for us to maintain access levels.

Also we can create queues, functions for our applications to compute for various business logics.

Initially it's little bit tough to understand the terminology and you might struggle creating a container, but later it's more easy, and better than other providers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Azure blob storage providing us the all necessary things integrated within the service, from storing files in cloud storage to caching, hosting, everything is provided inbuilt.

We're are able to upload the files, make it live using a custom domain, and enable caching for it

It's very easy to upload files into blob storage, when I was using this in one of the projects with just few lines of code and a private end point I was able to store large audio files in safe and secure way.
