Google Cloud SQL Pros and Cons

Google Cloud offers a wide range of solutions for technology development and deployment, including Computing, Networking, data Storage and management, AI and machine learning, all in one integrated platform. The user interface can appear complex to newcomers, as it lacks customization options for the left navigation menu. The inability to remove services not used by users can make the interface unnecessarily crowded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I liked the Services like Cloud Run, Cloud Run functions, BigQuery, VPN Gateways , VPC Access connector, App Engine. Also the Cloud DNS service is an amazing thing to ensure more security with the resources and Concept of Project is another intresting factors when comparing to AWS or Azure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I Faced some challenges mostly with App engine and IAM , i didn't feel easiness in these areas. Also the authenication part is bit complex and not quite easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A robust suite of AI/ML services (Vertex AI, Cloud TPU). It was really helpful with pre-trained models for sentiment analysis, risk assessment and customer segmentation. The team had an easy process to train and deploy custom models for portfolio optimization and fraud detection.

Regarding infrastructure, Kubernetes Engine and Cloud SQL reduced the operational overhead and low latency for our users worldwide.

It took months to find the balance for optimizing cloud costs (don't start a project without it!).

I am working on Mahindra as cloud engineer , all use case that we have on our company I will work on , like deploy application on Compute instance , GKE and pass servcie cloud run also . and data analytic part : we used cloud composer , big query , data proc cluster .. as storage we use cloud spanner , gcs , sql .. at ui and servcie side google cloud is ok , Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm using google cloud sql server from a long time i think for more than 3 years and its really amazing, managing it is super simple we can access it from GCP directly, in terms of security there are a lot of setting my fav is the IP whitelisting. Its very secured. As it is a Google Cloud Service it have a gread customer support and integration is pretty simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think query time can be increased, but i think its more depend on what kind of data we store, anyways i'm very happy with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like about Google Cloud SQL is it provides a cloud-based DBMS, doesn't require complicated setup, and allows me to connect and query data from various databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server. Also, Cloud SQL allows my team to use SQL Server Management Studio to access and manage our analytical projects that combine on-premise databases with data on Google Cloud.

It is fully managed services which means we have to focus on building application without bothering about the infrastructure. Databases are accessible even when infrastructure fails due to its high availability feature. It also provides us scalability meaning by increasing CPU, memory database resources can be scaled up. Few things which I did not like -

1. It does not allow you to migrate to other cloud. It are bound with GCP ecosystem.

2. It gives you fw database options. Does not support database engine like Oracle and NoSQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Google Cloud SQL is very best Cloud Database. it's very easy to use. and also very easy to implement.

The customer is support is 8.5/10 according to me.

A lot of features you can choose the databaseserver type according to you from SQL, MySQL,PostgresSql and here you go you are all set the auto backup feature of this cloud is awesome.
