I like GoodData mainly because of its ease of use and easy configuration and because it provides a good visualization of the data and we can track the data and the dashboard is excellent because it shows the necessary information. I also like the interpretation of specific data and the data processing and data entry service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only bad thing is that the guides and tutorials need more information and should be more detailed and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the visualization and simplicity, and it is also well suited for data collection. I liked that it facilitates queries, store data, generates reports, and it transparent and scalable. Moreover, its functions are easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing bad to say about GoodData because everything is going well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
it's really easy to use once you get a handle on it. There is a lot of info on the dedicated Slack channel and it's easy to get answers from GD over slack. It was relatively simple to integrate it with our system by following documentation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
steep learning curve at the beginning and lack of information on 3rd party forums Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- GoodData is easy to use and offers a good range of visualisation for basic analysis.
- It is relatively easy to embed to websites and to set up a multitenant environment.
- Maintaining dashboards as a code saves time when we need to perform repetitive tasks, e.g. add a particular filter to multiple dashboards
- The ability to set-up a data model helps us to enable self-serve analytics in our organization.
- I am also interested in using further customizations of the visualisations using plugins, however we haven't tried it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The feature set is quite limited compared to other tools, e.g. Tableau.
- Some basic functions, e.g. sorting based on a metric in stacked bar charts is missing.
- Some calculations require very complex logic, e.g. display a weekly metric for top 10 dimensions based on another metric. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- a great fit for our multi-tenant analytics needs
- gives you much flexibility in building data products and sharing them with customers
- they don’t price per user
- the entire pre-sales process with self-service POC and several tech consultations with their engineering team were top notch
- embedding with React
- we managed to integrate GoodData in our stack and go live with a set of customer-facing data products in about 10 weeks (compared to 6 months of hell with the previous vendor)
- their customer support is super professional and quick
- the tool offers lots of open APIs and SDKs
- I feel we found the right partner for our analytics projects in GoodData Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The list of data viz types available out of the box is kind of limited but we found a way to extend it by our custom-built data vizualizations. So not a problem at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We did an iframe integration of dashboards to our product and made the design of the dashboards look like part of the native product. The level of flexibility we managed to achieve is great, and our customers love that and utilize every bit of it. Also, we exposed the insights and dashboard creation tools, and our customers use them daily while having different use cases.
While basic features are really straightforward and easy to use and learn, there is a bit of a steep learning curve to educate users to use the most complex features. But once they get familiar they become the owner of their data, which was the goal of this integration.
Each issue that was raised was promptly resolved by their customer service team. That responsiveness helped moving faster by a lot and our customers having analytics that they can rely on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integration process lasted longer than we anticipated, but in the end, we managed to get there with combined efforts from both our team and the Good Data team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been utilizing GoodData's embedded solution for our procurement platform for almost 4 years, and it has been an outstanding experience. The integration was time-consuming but the solution has proven to be incredibly responsive, handling our in-house and customer data needs efficiently and effectively.
One of the best parts of GoodData is their support team. They have been exceptionally responsive, addressing any issues or questions promptly and professionally. I have many occasions where I have used their slack system to ask very complicated questions and have been almost amazed at the ingenuity of the solution they provided.
Our customers have also seen great value in the solution. The insights and analytics provided by GoodData have enhanced their procurement processes, enabling better decision-making and operational efficiency. The feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the added value GoodData brings to our platform.
Overall, GoodData's embedded solution has exceeded our expectations, providing a really robust and responsive analytics platform backed by exceptional support. The solution is especially suited for multi-tenant SaaS platforms. We highly recommend GoodData to any organization looking to enhance their or their customers data capabilities. The onboarding process was quite long and tedious. This wasn't necessarily the fault of GoodData, as integrating complex data solutions often involves intricate setup and customization to meet specific needs. Despite the lengthy process, the support team at GoodData was extremely helpful and responsive, guiding us through each step and ensuring we implemented a successful implementation. The user interface is easy to understand, flexible and visually well built. I like the dashboard, data sharing and decision making. Also, the analytics tab looks good and the support team is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing negative so far at the beginning of the implementation we had problems with the analysis but they were solved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GoodData stands out for its versatility. Its white-labeling feature allows seamless integration within our SaaS platform, enabling us to offer advanced analytics without developing a similar tool in-house. This capability has significantly saved time and enhanced our service offering.
What also sets GoodData apart are its developer API and embedding options, including iFrames, React SDK, and Python SDK. These tools allow for flexible integration, matching our application’s look and feel and providing a unified user experience. They have made embedding analytics into our platform efficient and straightforward.
During the pre-sales phase, GoodData's support was notable. They provided extended trial accounts and dedicated assistance, helping us set up, test assumptions, and validate the tool's fit for our needs. This approach gave us the confidence in GoodData as a partner in enhancing our analytics capabilities. GoodData's commitment to aligning their solution with our needs before any commitments were made demonstrated their customer-first approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area that could see improvement is the accessibility of comprehensive support options. It is somewhat disappointing that support and access to a dedicated Customer Success Manager are privileges reserved exclusively for the Enterprise Tier. Given the significant investment required to utilise GoodData at the Profressional Tier, it seems reasonable to expect support features to be more broadly available.
Despite this, it's important to note that this restriction has not completely hindered our ability to use GoodData effectively. We have managed to find the information and assistance we needed through the active community and Slack channels provided by GoodData. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their standard product is well thought over and the learning curve is not steep. They have great help in the community and have a well documented help section. It is easy to implement when you keep the model simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The features of the MAQL language are not that easy to understand value vs learning curve, it could be done more intuitively through a visual interface.
It is complex to understand whem the data model has M:N relationships, customers are not always getting it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
