Golioth Overview

What is Golioth?

Golioth is an IoT development platform, or "middleware", best know for it's agnostic approach to supporting the development of custom hardware and firmware. Founder and CEO Jonathan Beri explains that he has "built the Golioth platform four times" while having worked at WeWork, Particle, and Google Nest. Leaning into his years of IoT platform development experience, Beri launched the final Golioth platform in 2020. Today, Golioth has gained global recognition as a "universal connector" by connecting physical devices to the web (IoT), and being able to easily stream and transform device-native data into a cloud-friendly format. The Golioth platform enables embedded engineers to easily capture, transform, and route data from device to cloud using low-power microcontrollers. Golioth can be used to manage devices, plus train and manage AI models on constrained devices using an open API, a flexible firmware SDK, a comprehensive suite of developer tools, and open-source reference designs. We enable businesses looking to build and release custom IoT devices to accelerate their time to market from prototype to production by using our IoT middleware that’s secure, dependable, and sustainable. Golioth also offers Solutions for owner/operators who don't have the team or the time to build their own hardware or IoT applications. Email solutions@golioth.io to learn more.

What do you dislike about Golioth?

I am not sure weather this is a problem of Golioth, but I face it when I have started using Golioth. For example, it is still not under my hood, I am still learning to eventually get it done, maybe I have too much on my plate, anyway, its a new context to swollow, but not impossible to be sure! In short, the manuals could be shorter, easier to get going for novice player like me, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
