"Free Donation Software Good for Basic Giving & Event Ticketing (Small NP)"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

We particularly like the event ticketing features, which make it easy to customize ticket tiers and track attendees. The campaign pages are simple to customize and allow us to integrate our branding colors and images, while offering a straight forward but polished front-end donor experience. GiveLively's customer service has been excellent, and they even added an integration for Donor Advised Funds after I contacted them to request it. As a small nonprofit school with almost no budget for development, this platform being free to use is hugely beneficial (all we pay are credit card fees when donors don't cover them). For anyone looking for a basic but powerful donation platform, we absolutely recommend GiveLively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

Our main complaint is that there is no CRM function to allow us to manage donors from the platform. We can download CSV files with donor information from campaigns and events, but must then import that data to another system to effectively use it. We have also HATED the new "tipping" feature and wish that would go away. GiveLively does not make it clear to donors that a 0% tip is optional, or even how to do that, so on our campaign pages we have added a callout to warn donors of this (as we've had people complain). "Super Easy Setup and Transparent Fees with Stripe and PayPal"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

Super easy to set up and use. There are no fees besides the credit card processing fees through Stripe and PayPal. And while they do offer donors the option to donate to Give Lively, it isn’t selected by default or pushed aggressively the way some other competitors do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

Certain things still aren’t there yet, or could be improved. For example, the event ticketing can’t be embedded on your website. The smaller domain widget also has lag and, during the donation process, it jumps back up to the top of the page (at least in my experience). They also don’t offer other features that could be useful, such as setting up a form to sell products to benefit the nonprofit, etc.

That being said their customer service is superb and they try to help as much as they can. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Awesome Team That Truly Supports Small NPOs"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

How incredibly helpful and responsive the team is. They really take into account how small an NPO team can be, and they’re always ready and quick to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

It is hard to be critical of the software being that this is a free tool, but compared to the other tools/softwares that do the same GL is lacking - and it is understandable. But, things like not being able to segment donors, mixing fundraisers and donors, not having an specific tool to separate monthly and one tine donors,... As a fundraising tool is great, as a CRM there is lots of spaces to grow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essentially Free for Nonprofits, Without Feeling Limited"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

Pricing is obviously a huge win for non-profit orgs - since it's essentially free from the benevolence of philanthropists.

The features line up pretty well with other top competitors as well, so even though it's free, you don't feel like it's a limited product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

Getting the various payment platforms working perfectly, like Apple Pay, can be a bit tricky. Give Lively does their best, but sometimes it's out of their hands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Pricing, User-Friendly Interface, and Responsive Chat Support"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

As a nonprofit with a growing donor base, we greatly appreciate the pricing model. I also value the user-friendly interface and robust support resources. Whenever I have a question, I can reach out through the chat feature and consistently receive a response either immediately or within a few hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

Right now, I feel the default tip amount is set too high, which can be concerning when donors are making large gifts. I would love to be able to customize my landing pages more, start a fundraiser for a campaign that is hosted by my organization, and be able to create fundraisers for my board members and provide their fundraiser link to them. "Give Lively Makes Fundraising Easy for Small Nonprofits"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

Give Lively has been an incredibly valuable tool to my org. As a small nonprofit, our personnel, time, and resources are very limited. Give Lively helps us make fundraising easy and accessible. Making campaign pages is a simple process, the ticket builder feature is awesome, and we love the text-to-donate code feature. They're always working to develop new tools to make our work easier and more efficient - a true game changer! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Intuitive"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

Give Lively has a very user-friendly website. It's simple to arrange and organize individual campaigns and track progress. I'm not sure if all fundraising platforms allow organizers to create giving levels, but it's a feature I really appreciate within Give Lively. Data gathering and reports is also very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

We temporarily moved away from Give Lively to use our banking platform, as it mandated the donor cover transaction fees (we've since moved back to Give Lively for donations). Give Lively offers the option to cover fees to the donor, but it's just as easy for them to ignore the request, meaning our organization will then have to cover those fees. As a donor, myself, I do appreciate being given the option to cover fees or not, so maybe a middle ground would be for Give Lively to already have the toggle set to cover fees, and the donor would have to toggle off the option if they don't want the added expense. More donors may opt to cover the fee if that is the set-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Cost-effective, and Reliable Salesforce NPSP Integration"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

The interface is easy to navigate and understand, the pricing can't be beat, and the customer support is efficient, even having to go through the AI bot first. It integrates well with Salesforce NPSP, and the peer to peer fundraising and team fundraising are easy to use and easily trainable when rolling out to large groups. We've experienced no downtime, and the backend of the website has always been reliable since we've switched over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

Give Lively is kind of bare-bones. There is not a lot of customization available and you are limited to the built-in template for donation forms. For team and peer to peer fundraisers, you need customer support to move donations or move people from one team to another. Event ticketing is also bare bones as you are limited to only one custom question. The AI support is helpful, but if it cannot answer your question(s), you have to wait for human to review your issue and get back to you, usually via email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Ticketing That Modernized Our Nonprofit Events"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

It's user friendly, and has allowed me to bring our outdated ticket system of event with our nonprofit to the new digital age. Collecting information, easy transactions, and simply easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

I wish there we're more custom attributes to collect information about the consumer, so our non-profit can reengage them for the next event. Also more customization withe colors and image/videos in event pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Give Lively Makes Fundraising Pages and Event Campaigns Easy"
What do you like best about Give Lively?

Give Lively makes it easy for anyone to set up a page and raise funds for their organization. Having the ability to easily create different campaign pages for events has been a real game-changer for my organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Give Lively?

The text-to-give option not working easily with all mobile providers needs to be addressed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
