Github has very polished interfaces and loads of integrations for creating pull requests and completing code reviews. This makes it much easier for our team to work in our preferred workflows. The Pull Request system is much better than any of the competitors that we have used. It's by far the best git-based decision our team has made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Finding commits and the code behind them feels more cumbersome than necessary outside of the general PR flow. Once you get used to it, it's not a problem, but they are certainly not in the most obvious location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitHub makes your engineering team really productive. They provide CI/CD using GitHub Actions out-of-the-box and it needlessly integrates with Visual Studio Code & other software. Furthermore, it's easy to discuss problems & Pull Requests and reference to code lines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitHub provides quite a lot, so it's hard to find caveats.
Personally, I believe that teams shouldn't be charged for Pro users. For projects where there's no specific owner (like hobby projects), we would like to use Pro features we both paid for, as we both have a paid personal account.
It's unfortunate that GitHub enforces additional subscriptions for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitHub is being best for teams working remotely or there are many people working on the same project, GitHub is used to share the project and contribute to the project at the same time, as other people working on it, it also integrates with another platform. There is no such thing to dislike GitHub, it was the best among its competitors such as GitLab and amazon, and has a very less cost, there are no such things to dislike it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Through the years of using GitHub, I have not developed much disliking about the software.
The themes, however, have caused difficulty to maintain the profile README requiring updates with consequent theme updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Open source sometimes limits the boundary.

It has everything a developer like me needs in daily life. It's version control system is best you can find now a day. Best things is that you can commit, rollback, push, pull and much more which help a developer much morel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has everything a developer like me needs to get his job done and develop a fully functional application using a version control system. It is so good that we can also use it locally from command prompt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitHub is a well known, trusted, and familiar place to share code, do code reviews, and other software development related activities. It has a lot of third party integrations, and most developers know how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitHub Actions is handy, and improving frequently, but still feels less powerful and less predictable than alternative CI solutions. GitHub also has some gotchas around merging, notifications, and does not support stacked commits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is simply the best platform to handle code and commit my work. Github is also integrated with aws and other things like firebase which truly makes it easy to manage everything in your code at the same place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nah, there is nothing to dislike in github. The community is too big and everyone is everyday fixing any bugs which are found by abyone. If we talk about improvements they can increase the server companies, that is the tie-ups with other more famous companies should be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It provides a solid way for me to store my projects and do version control. It also provides a simple way of project deployment by using GitHub Actions. Save me a lot of time on setting up the CI/CD. Besides, it provides a good code review tool for developers to communicate with other co-workers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot think of anything on GitHub I don't like except code conflict solving. If I can solve the code conflict on GitHub easier, it'd be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
