For every cloud based platform , there is a forever a risk of data/security breach. Since all informations saved on this platform only requires someone who has a login to breach them. I should state though that Github maintains provisions to reduce the likelihood for a data breach . A commendable provision made by Github will be the Dependabot feature , which I find very effective but I admit as well it is not foolproof and maybe nothing is. I guess this is probably a good thing but I am traveling and GitHub detected that my login was from a different place. For my own protection and security, GitHub blocked some actions and I needed recovery codes.
