It integrates very well with almost all text editors, which makes it easier to upload files to your repository.
It allows you to set it up so that the contributors can suggest changes, and you can decide whether to apply those changes, enabling you to make your repositories public.
Not to forget that its free version is also available.
Its integrations with Jira and Slack also saves you a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its functionality is a bit complicated, and using GitBash to upload files to Github requires you to run some commands which you need to remember.
If you need to manage files of a large project using it, you need to be a master of it as you need to learn quite complex features of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) The main thing I dislike about GitHub is that its functionality is a bit too complicated if you are a beginner and takes time when starting.
2) Integrating it with VS Code is a bit difficult, but once you do it, it makes your task much easier.
3) You need to keep the repository settings appropriate so that the contributor can just suggest changes and not directly make changes to the repo (Exception in case of team projects). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitHub is an excellent platform to manage our project's source code, deployment lifecycle and code reviews. GitHub is highly secure and reliable. We can have our repositories as private or public. Private Repositories can only be accessed by us or our team or invited members; Other users can't access them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing to dislike about GitHub. It has excellent features. A few things need to be improved, like their customer support; When we raise a support ticket, they take 3-4 days to resolve it. Else every thing is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use it as a knowledge management system where I have been storing all the important site URLs as issues and I literally have thousands of issues which I segregate with issue tags. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I best thing about GitHub is that they have been working on improving the overall experience of the platform by integrating it with other tools and platforms and doing so now we can use it even for authentication on other sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cloud Storage that can manage multiple projects and multiple branches. The best part is to have multiple collaborators. Can get an insight into all the collaborators. The web portal is very user-friendly and I can easily review the PRs also it's very handy when we need to analyze the different commits by viewing the code changes in different files. GitHub Desktop App is not that user-friendly, I personally feel that the Source Tree is more user-friendly than the GitHub desktop.
Also, I would like to have some customize notification system for mobile apps so that we can get specific alerts based on our needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
