What do you like best about Gist?

What do you like best about Gist?

Gist has a lot of great features and a great user experience for both site visitors and support agents. The onboarding was very intuitive, also thanks to their detailed knowledge base. So far we have only used the live chat and bots, but we are already working on migrating the custom knowledge base of our SaaS to Gist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gist?

What do you like best about Gist?

Great combination of Chat, Social, Email and even Social media marketing - when using the Premium. Can build a comprehensive user profile with numerous data points and target the user from many different channels all at once. The free version has some considerable limitations (understandably), though still allows you to effectively use a single software for online chat, email communication and lead gen altogether - though the difference from Hubspot in that regard is unclear. The Premium All-in-one package though provides some decent bang for your buck - if you can afford it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gist?

The chatbot currently works for the Gist website chat, but not for social - this doesn't make any sense. Why would you pay to automate one chat channel, but not be able to do so for the rest? Another thing is the paid addons, their Support bot shouldn't really be an add-on, since without it, the differences between Gist and Hubspot, which they are directly competing with, become even thinner. The free version's 200 contact limit is also quite low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using Gist to generate new contacts and nurture a community out of my blog. A conversational marketing tool such as Gist is ideal for this, as it revolves around conversation and building relationships, not just advertising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gist?

Managing multiple domains under one account has been a bit tricky but the dev team are working on this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Live chat with my users has been difficult to crack in the past. Gist has helped to cure all of the issues and has helped open a communications channel with sales prospects and customers in a new way. The mobile app is amazing and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gist?

I was able to eliminate multiple other software I used to run my business by switching to Gist. I'm very happy that I have everything I need in one easy to use dashboard. It's perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gist?

Gist replaces a lot of separate tools for us, and brings a unified toolkit that is very easy to use, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gist?

At this point Gist has evolved to become a very complete tool. We've been using it since its early days. I would like to be able to use my current account on two separate websites (they're the same brand, just different countries). But that's about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gist?

We are using Gist to replace a more fully featured but buggy chatbot. Gist works really well at handling human conversations. It's pleasant on the eyes and instills confidence in users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gist?

The notification settings are a little parsimonious. If a user is logged in, no email is sent--fine, I suppose, but means that even though Gist may not be open in the browser no notification is sent because it remembers the user session. Gist sends notification emails with the visitor's reply-to email, which is nice--except that it's very hard to keep these notifications out of Outlook's junk folder. What do you like best about Gist?

We were paying a high price for some functionalities of Intercom and we changed to Gist because covers all our needs. Furthermore, the team is fast including new functionalities and requests. We primarily use it for support and engagement emails, but it has other nice functionalities such as surveys, knowledge base or meeting scheduler. I totally recommend it. What do you dislike about Gist?

We have encountered some bugs but the team at Gist is fast solving them. Also, it would be nice to have better reports (more customization) and more functionalities related to events (use properties from Segment events) which is vital for us even though the basic functionality with events is covered.
