Gigatrak helps the company I work for with tool organization. We are able to check tools out and have a return date setup. Without it we can not keep up with the amount of tools that we have going in and out of the tool room. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some days I get random error messages and it slows me down. Lately, we have been having issues related to tool maintenance. We set up tools that need to be calibrated with a date. After that date, the tool cannot be checked out unless the calibration is redone and reset. Gigatrak is not letting us check out tools that are not due yet, saying that they are past due. To fix it, we have to go in and manually redo all of the dates by just retyping what is already there. Somehow this allows us to now check out the tool even though it's the same info. The site seems very dated. I wish I could group delete locations or items that are not needed. A sort function to go straight to a group of jobs would be nice instead of having to scroll down through everyone. A way to just filter out jobs that are no longer active. I have never been able to have the report sent to me at work. Having to have them in the separate cloud function and then not able to delete columns to make the report eaiser to read. This is our first experience with any asset tracking software. We found this software package and database to be user-friendly and intuitive once it was set up and operational. It gives me the information or details of an item that I needed. I've been using this software since 2019 and helps me to manage my inventory, dispatch and availability of my equipment or tools.

The most helpful thing about GigaTrak is that users can easily roll this out at any warehouse facility. The upside is that you can continuously organize your tool system as it grows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful thing about GigaTrak TTS is that there is not much document support, and it is challenging to organize files in the cloud. Additionally, there are many user interface features and shortcuts that I would like to see added to make GigaTrack TTS more user-friendly. Also, the scanning feature is not available on the PC version, so we can not use our mobile laptops to scan barcodes currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program not only contains means of tracking multiple pieces of equipment but can also track consumable inventory items making it easier to maintain all aspects of fleet maintenance and managment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have been some glitches here and there where specific reporting tasks do not contain dollar values. For example, the binned consumable inventory reporting will report how many are on hand but will not show the dollar value on hand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GigaTrak has proven to be a flexible tool for us. We actually use it to track revenue components of our Ticket Vending Machines and it does a great job.
