Genemod's dynamic LIMS features are incredibly helpful for lab management at all levels. It’s not just the inventory side of the software, including freezers, consumables, stocks, and orders, that we appreciate; we’re also really enjoying the ELN portion, especially the ability to create unlimited files under projects and version control. The best part of Genemod is that it offers a great deal of customization and integration between features. When using the virtual freezer, I can create custom items with as many fields as I need, and all those fields are searchable in the filter. Genemod has a lot of interesting features that are useful for biotech R&D. Its virtual freezer is extremely intuitive, functioning like Excel, and allows us to import/export data into spreadsheets. The search functionality is also very neat; if I forget the exact name of an item, I can search by any other keywords, as long as the data is recorded in the sample. A great thing about Genemod is that they continually develop new features and updates, all included with our initial payment. Since we started using Genemod, I believe they have introduced at least four new features that are helpful for lab research. One time, I accidentally deleted data on experiments, and there was no way to restore it, so I had to contact customer support to recover it.
