What do users say?

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise the ease of use and intuitive interface of Frends, which simplifies the integration process for both technical and non-technical users. The low-code environment allows for quick development and deployment of integrations, making it accessible for teams without extensive coding experience. However, some users note that a deeper understanding of C# is often necessary for more complex tasks.

What do you like best about Frends?

User interface, Api management. Use of C# and the fact that one can easily create new tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Debugging the processes is quite difficult. The testing is possible, but you cannot easily add breakpoints etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and easy to use"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

Frends is extremely easy to use, very visual and basically self-documenting. I can make an integration or API in one afternoon and still have time for a coffee break. There's a lot of ready-made tasks, most of which are included. And if you run out of tasks, you can write custom C# code and you have the entire .Net framework available. You can also run external processes, which opens up the possibility to use e.g. Python to process data and return the data set back to Frends - Pandas is way easier to use than C# for data transformation.

The services provided by HiQ work well most of the time and the developers are very knowledgeable and easily approached. Documentation is quite good, but occasionally out of date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Some basics missing. Re-submit/reprocess would be really handy and has been standard in other integration tools for ages. Logging is adequate, but could use some development. Some minor GUI niggles and annoyances. The code completion functionality is lacking when writing straight C#. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Frends?

Extremely fast and easy way to create, test and update processes and switch between versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Performance of while and foreach. Pure code would be so much much faster, but loops in vode are not allowed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Low/no-code platform for integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about Frends?

The user interface is good, and it is easy to see how the process has advanced. Cloud and on-premise connections are easy to set up. Environment variables make it easier to control variables. User rights can be easily controlled. Their service desk reacts quickly, and the communication with the provider is flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Some syntax is tricky at first, e.g. JArrays or JObjects need to be in exactly the correct format to work and error messages are not always very helpful in this. Processes cannot yet be tagged, and the GUI loses the process I was working on, so I need to search for it again when jumping between dev/test/prod. Publishing from development to testing and running once could be more automatic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great and reliable integration platform with a low learning curve"
5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

Easy to create simple integrations and does not necessarily need coding background. On the other hand, it can also be used for creating more complex integrations with custom C# tasks.

The integration is documented in the Frends process, it is also easy to add more documentation/comments etc to the process.

Sub-processes are an excellent way to implement generic subroutines and simplify the process.

Frends includes several ready-made libraries, both free and commercial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

In some cases the error messages (especially in complex processes) might be a little too general and figuring out the error can take some time. It would be nice if there would be some indication to the process figure, where the error might be (but I understand it is not an easy task to figure out programmatically). "Easy low code solution with flexible interfaces"
4/5
What do you like best about Frends?

Easy to use, and a company that provides good support. Secure solution, development for new use cases are always being made. Integrates easily with many other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

We do not have enough experience yet to know any spesial tings to dislike. If anything, perhaps an even easier way to access and temporarily store data during processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The product is easy to use and has helped my figure out even the most complicated processes."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

The graphical user interface of Frends is truly the best part of the product. You really cant mess up if you pay a little attention and follow the arrows. If you encouter an issue, easy to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Sometimes you need to think "how you're writing your code", since some tasks cant handle Arrays and such. This can get a little frustrating but in the end, not that big of an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
