There are a number of features bulit into the system and several outside products that integrate with the software making it easy to help clients. There are certain processes that make it easy to do large volume tasks, such as cycle fill. The ECM queue that integrates with LTC is an electronic document tracker making it easy to retreive in the archive. All parts of the presctiption process have worfklow tracking to follow where your order is. Customer support is typically quite attentive to my tickets and helping me work through the issues. There are several ways to do things making training hard as everyone has their own way to do things- There can be too many options sometimes.
*Training has to be paid for, so you have to hope one of your coworkers know what they are doing.
*There is no transfer out function
*Limited functionality on batch processing
*There are so many options you may need to click into several things to do one simple feature
*POD (proof of delivery) software app crashes on the daily and leaves extra work for overriding data entry tehs to close out batches
*Several glitches in the cycle fill processing

Being able to customize each customer specific for their needs. Theraputic interchanges, what is house stock, how to package each prescription, ect. Once everything is set up it is easy to use. The features within the software are unmatched. Reports are extemely accurate. Customer service is quick and kind, they go above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. While there are a lot of features I still am not aware of how to use, nor do I need to use for my purposes, I find FrameworkLTC user-friendly. The learning curve for FrameworkLTC is high. This may be a con to someone that wants :"easy to use" software. Because of this learning curve, users that aren't trained can very easily cause problems with the system if the administrators do not have a firm grasp on permissions and functions. 1) Searching for any new format, i.e. packing slip, labels, MAR, RTS, etc.
2) The format the new version release notes are in, difficult to understand and repetitive
3) Some functionality drawbacks such as products dropping in order entry screen if typing fast, not an easy way to clear out old packing slips, do not send versus house stock functionality difficult to utilize

One of the downsides to FrameworkLTC can be the complex nature of billing. It really takes some experience in using the different types of billing availablities. I would consider it to almost be like it's own space within the software where you have to have a few experts on your team to ensure everything is set up properly and fits each of the buildings. It would also be nice to be able to integrate some sort of retail POS system considering our IL and LTC@Home patients.
