I use FortiClient for VPN auto-configuration files generated by the FortiGate used in our campus and deployment environments, I have often had trouble finding excellent secure and updated VPN clients with GUI for Ubuntu and Debian until, after purchasing the new FortiGate, FortiClient was recommended to me and its compatibility with the main existing OS in the world. The anti-malware and anti-virus functionality makes it perfect for VPN connection scenarios to nodes or services subject to high risk of infections, the speed is always at the maximum peak obtainable and the usage of hardware system resources never exceeds 50% overall. I like everything about FortiClient, however, compatibility with VPN configuration files in Cisco PCF and OpenVPN format (OpenVPN is open source) could have been integrated so that anyone with a Fortinet license can still use legacy files that are difficult to convert or VPNs not yet decommissioned due to client-related issues or external factors (e.g., a site located in a remote and costly location to reach for physical maintenance).
