Foleon Pros and Cons

Foleon has been a game-changer in my workflow, especially when creating event brochures. While Foleon offers some great tools for creating brochures, a few drawbacks are worth mentioning. Certain features, like the Media Library, can be difficult to find and manage outside of a design, interrupting the otherwise smooth workflow. Additionally, the platform can sometimes feel a bit rigid in how it wants to lay out elements, limiting creative flexibility when trying to achieve a specific look or feel. What I like best abour Foleon is that it is truely superior compared to other vendors of online, digital magazines (most of Foleon's competitors offer digital magazines that look like scanned copies of the print versions of magazines, which is not very user friendly or easy to read). With Foleon, I can choose how I'd like to display the information, and Foleon also offers great templates to help me get started. But most of all, what I really like about Foleon is their great customer support team, where I can get help, review, trouble-shooting support and feedback in a very timely manner. I use Foleon very intensely a few times a year, and getting that reliable help when I do need it truely makes the experience worth while. The ease of implementation and learning how to use Foleon's software was a bit of a learning curve - for me was realizing how to optimize for viewing modes in desktop versus tablet versus mobile. Once I mastered that, it became very simple. But I think the automatic "tablet and mobile optimization" that Foleon does isn't perfect, and that's why you need a human to review and optimize for those viewing modes. Foleon has been a fantastic tool for our corporate creative department. At ePlus Technology, inc. we create a lot of campaign landing pages for our us and our tech partners. My favorite feature is the mobile responsive features and overall ease of use. We took much of our publishing digital this year and did a full scan of the digital publishing landscape to determine which platform would allow us the flexibility, scale, and ease of integration we needed. Our in-house team of experts unanimously settled on Foleon. Foleon allows my organization to develop attractive, user friendly web-based documents for our membership as well as the public. It has enough flexibility to be usable for open access, member access, and paid access applications. Because this platform is user-based, it allows for quick turnarounds (and a more cost-effective project) that some alternative digital publishing platforms can't match.

Their sales team knows their stuff and was happy to spend time with us to answer all of our questions and make sure we felt confident before signing a contract. Their customer support through the onboarding process was incredible, and they've been reponsive and available for any project-specific questions we've had. It feels like we have a great external partner for all fo our digital publishing. Foleon is a tool I'd encourage any business to consider especially within a marketing or BD function because it enables totally customisable, high quality outputs without needing a web developer to jump in. We use it regularly and when we have hit stumbling blocks their live chat team have been brilliant at coming back to us with a useful response that makes changes easy to implement.
