What do you like best about Flow?

I like that there is a mobile option. The tool is easy to use, some features need a bit of figuring out. I also like that there are alerts to remind when items are due. Having the option for subtask is a great feature added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flow?

I wish i could see all of our projects at once in Kanban view. We have tried so many ways to management our projects as a team. We want a quick view of what is everyone working on and then also quickly be able to see each project. I also wish many items we didn't have to download - such as a Word file, would be nice to have a read only Word file open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Flow:

Be on the same page of how you will use this tool- from the request of a project; due dates; assigning and reassigning tasks. This tool is great if used in a uniform way. I also like using the mobile app. Also inexpensive pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaborating and reviewing projects. I also don't think we are using this tool to its fullest potential. It's very easy to stay on task with Flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Flow?

I like that Flow is an opinionated PHP framework, that guides you to becoming a better programmer and enforces common coding standards across the team.

It has a strong focus on Domain Driven Design, allows for some fancy Aspect Oriented Programming patterns (but please don't overdo it!) and it seats on top of Doctrine and some Symfony components, making them a bit more opinionated.

Flow also has a nice CLI interface for running commands and generating boilerplate code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flow?

You have got to keep an eye on performance, and know how to optimize it. Sometimes its strong side, the opinionatedness, may become its weakness, when you want to use it for some highly specific project use-cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Flow:

Check out their support forum at http://discuss.neos.io and Slack channel at http://slack.neos.io. Flow has an incredible community behind it, so don't neglect it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are mostly using Flow to write plugins for Neos, the CMS that is built on top of it. It gives a lot of freedom in creating web sites and web applications, compared to similar CMSes, but staying on budget compared to heavy unopinionated frameworks like Symfony.

Sometimes we use it to write simple CRUD apps on top of Doctrine, and it saves a lot of time of not needing to configure it by hand. Convention over configuration really speeds initial development time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Flow?

I think how easy it is to use and how it creates a collaborative environment, especially when we have several offices and remote employees. Communication can be difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flow?

I don't have anything to complain about. We will keep using Flow as far as I'm concerned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Flow:

This helps especially if you have remote employees or people on your team in different offices. This helps our communication and understand what people are working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have issues communicating across teams and understanding the process of requests. This helps solve that issue by creating an easy way to manage projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Flow?

Simple to use, easy to add tasks. UX is lovely and sits in our day to day work well. Delegation mechanisms are really good. Very easy to delegate tasks and to see how things are going with them. The support team are truly great - I actually enjoy engaging with them. Their user voice forum is active and they seem to actually *listen* to their users - whilst still sticking to their guns if an idea is outside what they see as their core competency (e.g. no explicit GTD support (...although it's easy to implement if you want to...)). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flow?

Lack of public API (although being worked on at the moment), lack of offline mobile access. Not brilliant as a project management platform - at least, not for very complex projects - more geared towards managing your workload. Setting up users and the billing system was a little strange at first and it is tricky to understand how to manage your users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Flow:

Jump in and try it out on a personal basis. If you do implement it's worth spending a bit of time thinking about how you want to use it. Think about Workspaces in particular - if you run projects for clients these are really useful. If, like us, you're using it internally you need to think about what it means to you - are they departments? Are they projects? or what? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Flow solving and how is that benefiting you?

The key problem I was looking to solve was sharing and delegating tasks which Flow does very well. In addition we now use it for our everyday workflow for payments and other operational tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
