- Ease of use and easy for new team members to pick up
- Internal controls built in with team member sign-offs
- Helpful and quick responses from account managers
- Export features of FloQast and report generations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-Limitations to team member roles; allowing a team member to control their checklist for just 1 subsidiary rather than apply their role to all subsidiaries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that all the my tasks and reconciliations are in one easy to manage place. I also like the live link aspect so if I reconcile something and ic comes out of balance I am notified and can make the apprpriate modifications in a timley manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I dislike about FloQast is the amount of push notifications I recieve from it. I would prefer to get a message once per day rather than multiple times through the day whenever anything changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast is easy and intuitive to use and has been key in cleaning up our month end close process. I love all the new product features and development. The new API has unlocked a lot of potential of integrating our close process into our workflow and data analysis software stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is really nothing negative about floqast. As a nonprofit, it would be nice to have the ability to reconcile on multiple levels of GL segments versus just the account. For example: department, program, restriction class, grant code, etc. It would also be nice to have some kind of Excel connector with FloQast and our ERP to automate pulling in transactional data. Very automated to roll forward tasks and implementation was simple. Our team at Floqast was very helpful and made sure the entire process ran smoothly. We plan to implement other features now that we are acclimated to the product and use as a daily tool rather than monthly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Updating the checklist when we need to reassign tasks can be challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast has so many great features, one of my favorite features is the workflow status where you can see % completion of reconciliations prepared, % completion of reconciliations signed off and whats overdue. It allows management to quickly see whats overdue and track the whole teams performance easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I havent encountered an issues with FloQast so far Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast is a great organization tool for month end and day to day workflows. Transitioning into a new software can be a bit of a headache, but the obstacles with learning FloQast were very, very minimal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to be able to use ReMind more effectively. Maybe I am still confused about how to best use it, but being able to create and save templates more easily would be a huge problem solver for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast has been very helpful for organization. Prior to implementing, all of our checklists and reconciliations were in spreadsheets that were sometimes messy or overlooked. FloQast has helped us to be more aware of close deadlines, keeping our files and reconciliations in an easy to find location, and knowing what things we need to improve on. It also helps us better document and be aware of account balances period to period to help prepare for a smoother audit. When we have questions, their support team is quick to respond. When we have provided product feedback, their team members have provided solutions or taken notes to provide to the prduct team for consideration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One main thing that we've mentioned to our FQ Accounting Success Manager is that we'd like to see our checklist and associated reconciliations connected to each other for easier visibility/reminders to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast provides alerts on tasks that are due so that nothing is missed for the monthly close. It also syncs to your accounting system so that supporting documents are reconciled with the ledger in real time. Once the reconciliation is checked off, any entries to that ledger will create an alert so that late or erroneous entries are caught. It also provides analytics to show the progress of the monthly close, what items are remaining, tasks that are past due, etc...FloQast helps to also save our monthly supporting files shared folders in a uniform format. With the click of a button, you can rollforward prior months supporting files to the current month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only issue I found was when members were deactivated. Their previously assigned tasks just sit in there and no alert is sent to notify active members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel that FloQast as a tool has a very clear purpose, and it accomplishes that purpose. When performing the month-end financial close, it is important to a) track the progress, b) ensure accountability of preparers and reviewers and c) be aware of any account fluctuations that occur during and after the close. To have the progression of the close centralized and measured is important to maintaining any deadline requirements as well as finding opportunities for increased efficiency in future closes. The preparer and reviewer sign-offs are great because I believe it increases the motivation of the reviewer to really open the reconciliaiton and ensure its accuracy. The live nature of the syncs is great too to see if any items have been booked to an account after the reconciliaiton has been completed. Rather than finding out the hard way down the road, any variances that occur post-rec can be addressed before the close is finalized.
Beyond the product itself, I have found every FloQast rep that I have worked with to be professional, helpful and genuinely concerned about my user experience.
After using FloQast for our month-end close, I cannot imagine going without it. If I were to ever join a company that did not utilize FloQast for close, it would be one of my initial recommendations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm sure it is being worked on/improved, but I found the addition of new entities to our close tracker to be a somehwat clunky process. Our rep was able to assist and get us there, but preferably this would be a process that could be handled internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
