We currently regularly use two of FloQast's products, the close and compliance management workflow. The close workflow is a game changer when it comes to monthly reporting. We're able to reconcile all our balances regularly with centrally stored evidence. FloQast has significantly improved our month-end process in terms of quality and accuracy.
FloQast is user friendly and easy on the eye as well. The implementation of FloQast was seamless and my team and I found it very easy to switch from excel reconciliation and email checklists.
The customer support/experience team make it easy for us by promptly replying to our issues. A special shout out to Raheel Zafar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast is still new in the market and are far away from their ceiling. There bits and pieces that could still improve when it comes to the tool. The user access roles could be refined to a more granular level. FloQast could do with collapse feature when it comes to the checklist in the close process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using FQ for two years now and I use it almost every day! It has helped improve our month end close process. FQ has created one central location for housing our reconciliations and checklists, helps us with visible communication streams and a way to track where we are with month end close. The autorec component has helped streamline processes especially for ledger accounts that involve benefits and detailed employee data that we don't house in the finance system but rather in HR. I have found it beneficial for bank reconciliations as well. The tool allows us to collaborate across the team. We use the dashboard to see what the progress is of our open items. It's easy and intuitive to use. Also, it helps during our annual audit so the auditors can have a view access to the reconciliations we have done throughout the year (less pulling files)! Lastly, we have had great customer support even when we have had various customer support folks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are working on best practices with the way the trial balance is set up. I can see why we shouldn't update the trial balance from previous months automatically however if we have to make a prior month adjustment then a manual TB load is necessary. I also dislike that the reconciliations are not backed up in a cloud in case dropbox or box gets wiped out. As far as ease of implementation, it requires time to get used to and and requires buy in from everyone on the team to make it a meaningful tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The FloQast team was great throughout the integration process. Our team is loving the software, as it streamlines our close processes and assists with our reconciliations at month end. Would definitely recommend to a friend or colleague. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be ideal if FloQast could post journal entries directly to the connected ERP systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast provided our organization with a tool to structure our month-end close and clearly define expectations for each team member. When I joined this company seven months ago, there were no deadlines surrounding the month-end close, and it took over a month to close the books. This will be our third month using FloQast, and we will have our books closed by the 12th business day. Our team can spend more time analyzing and investigating the current month's activity rather than constantly feeling the weight of needing to close the prior month. It can be hard to get people to adjust to using a new tool. I have had to send reminders to each person on my team to sign off on checklist items and reconciliations so that I can get a clear picture of whether we will meet the deadlines in place. Once you can get people on board and use FloQast as intended, it's excellent, but it is a bit difficult initially. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FlowQast is a great software that has significantly streamlined our workflow and collaboration processes. One of the standout features of FlowQast is its effortless setup, which had us up and running in no time. The clear and intuitive dashboard provides a real-time overview of task completion status, ensuring that everyone on the team is on the same page. Also, it is easy for the team to coordinate with each other. This functionality has saved us a considerable amount of administrative time, allowing us to focus on more value-added tasks. The ability to have a central location for approvals and updates has greatly improved our efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost of the software is associated with the number of users for using the licenses, While the features offered by FlowQast are undoubtedly valuable, the cost may be a concern for budget-conscious organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The checklist feature is a great tool for all users to get an instant snapshot of where they are in close. I love the reconciliation feature, which offers a quick way to check if any recs have fallen out of balance. Customer support is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love if it was even more integrated into our ERP (Oracle). For example, if we could drill down into the details of the TB via FloQast. Sometimes we have to do manual TB pushes to FloQast by triggering it in Oracle -- it would be nice if there was a way to do that from within the FloQast software. I like the possibility of tracking and having more insights about the close. The time that is taking the team to close the period, as well as to perform certain tasks that are important, and being able to visualize what's delaying the close and how can we improve.
The customer support everytime I send an email for help is actually pretty good and the FloQast team always try to help as soon as possible.
Lastly, the implementation process was pretty good. Joseph Bryant was our consultant at that time and we was always super supportive and helped us implement in the timeline we had planned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In our company we have lots of countries and legal entities created and so we have been asking the FloQast team to be able to filter the period we want to look at from the Dashboard - Overview tab for all entities. If the team is not done with MArch, and they are also working on April but May started already, it turns messy to see all months status for all worflows.
Also, not being able to select all workflows and have the Reconciliations and Analytics tab is something we also don't like. Specially the analytics tab, as we have to download the data for every workflow and then build a report that shows the statistics for all workflows and as you can imagine, this tasks can turn a little exhausting. It's very simple to use and get to grips with. The UI is slick and it has clearly been designed with all the right things in mind. The FloQast team are quick to respond and very helpful, they understand the issues or queries you have from a financial/audit perspective and are great at taking on feedback and further enhancing the product. It quickly became a huge benefit to us rather than another task/process that takes up time.
Implementation was very straightforward, we opted to do it ourselves so that we could gradually add balances to our month end process as we got used to the system, but the team were available for any questions as and when they arose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is currently a small issue with the completeness report and recognising different accounting books and their balances, however again the team have been really responsive and have recognised what the issue means and they are working to provide a solution.
Other than that I can't fault it, it's been a great addition to our finance teams processes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast is more than a tool to manage reconciliations. Positioned correctly in your finance function, it is a command and control tool.
I have used FloQast at the centre of a finance transformation of a basketcase. In a period of a few months it has assisted with supporting a redistribution of responsibilities amongst the team, improve month-end management, reduced days to report, with a significant improvement in the accuracy and completeness of our workpapers and results. They do not use a test database so it is important to understand your target design or when you understand the full potential of the platform, it may lead to rework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FloQast is easy to implement. Their team makes implementation a breeze. The connection with NetSuite and Google Drive is flawless. The tool is easy to setup and gets your close process streamlined very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the settings are hard to find, for example, sometimes you need to have all subsidiaries selected to find some setting options. But once you know where these settings are it isn't a huge deal. The other slight pain point is when you have duplicate hashtags in different files, it is sometimes are to find them to correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
