"Great resourcing dashboard - easy to set up and maintain"
What do you like best about Float.com?

It is fast and simple to set up and then edit projects.

The ability quickly set up recurring events saves a lot of time.

Our general user experience is good, as they each have an ability to view resourcing through different lenses which is impactful.

As a leadership team we have very good visibility across shared resource pools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

There are no major flaws.

For what it costs, the limitations are quite easy to work around.

Forgetting to quit the 'Delete' button has caused some issues when editing in a hurry, but Ctrl+Z fixes almost all of these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float - A Great Tool for Managing Team Resources"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Float is a great resource management tool that makes scheduling and planning easy. The interface is simple and easy to use, even for beginners. I love how you can quickly see your team’s availability and avoid scheduling conflicts. The ability to assign tasks based on your team's workload helps keep things organized and on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Float can feel a bit complicated for smaller teams or simpler projects. The price is a little high, especially if you only need basic features. Some customization options for reports could be better, and the platform can sometimes slow down during busy periods. Also multi currency option is missing. Also it should support third party integrations and there should be APIs to directly access data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Project Planning with Float, Excellent for Mid-Sized Companies"
What do you like best about Float.com?

I find Float to be an excellent tool for project management and task tracking within my organization. It significantly enhances our efficiency by allowing us to easily add and log multiple tasks and manage our schedules transparently across all levels, from analysts to CEOs. The visibility it provides to higher management and colleagues about daily tasks and time utilizations is invaluable. Float also excels in generating reports, which makes tracking team activities and projects straightforward. I appreciate Float's capability to automate scheduling tasks, which alleviates the need to perform these tasks manually, saving us a significant amount of time. The software's high level of customization makes it preferable over others we've used, such as Timely, ensuring our reporting and planning processes are both comprehensive and clear. Float's ability to reduce time spent on tasks by over 50% due to its automation features is another huge benefit. Furthermore, even though we don’t integrate external systems with Float, its wide range of built-in features is more than adequate to meet our needs, making it a self-sufficient tool. The software's robust project planning and reporting functionalities are key reasons why I would choose Float again. Overall, Float has proven to be a superior solution for our needs, and I would confidently recommend it to both large and midsize organizations, rating it a perfect 10 for its effective task management capabilities and beneficial features. What do you dislike about Float.com?

I found some initial setup issues with Float, such as lagging, since it is a web-based platform rather than an application. This led to a slow response when logging time for specific tasks, sometimes causing the page to become unresponsive for up to ten to fifteen minutes. Additionally, I would appreciate more customization in reporting, as currently, Float restricts reports to daily, weekly, and monthly time frames. It would be beneficial to pull reports for entire years or multiple years to better identify workflow gaps. Integration with tools like Microsoft Power BI or Metabase for dashboard creation would also enhance its functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float Makes Planning Easy, But Project Access Could Be Smoother"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Float has revolutionised the way we work in terms of forward planning and capacity planning. It's been great. We can see ahead and pivot if needs be. It was really easy to set up and use, the whole team are using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I wish there was a way to request access to a project if you're not already added to it rather than having to message that team member separately. Having that little feature would save time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float - From a Daily User's Perspective"
What do you like best about Float.com?

We use float on a daily basis at work to create a daily agenda for each member of the team. It is very handy having pre-set different job types that can all be colour coded. I also like the notes section being hidden until you click in so that it is presented neatly. I also like that you can create a custom schedule dashboard that i can filter with certain peoples calendar's so that it isn't cluttered Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

It don't like the layout when you are working over your hours for that day. I understand that it is done like that to show that you are working over your time but it doesn't look nice and promotes cramming jobs in even though they might take longer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float’s Intuitive UI Sets a New Standard for Design"
What do you like best about Float.com?

In my opinion, the UI/UX team at Float has truly perfected the page design. Every element, including the icons, clearly conveys its function, making the interface highly intuitive. The layout is not cluttered; instead, it achieves an excellent balance between functionality and aesthetics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I would really appreciate it if the team could add a delete button to the log time section. When deleting a time entry for a specific day, it would be helpful if the system asked whether we want to apply the same deletion to the entire week or month. Additionally, Float currently does not prompt to update the Schedule section when we increase the logged time in the Log section. It would be a great improvement if increasing logged time in one section automatically reflected in the Schedule section as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for Team Planning, But Mobile and Load Times Need Improvement"
What do you like best about Float.com?

The best thing about float is it's log time, schedule, project plan visuals and it makes easy to schedule task on it. Seriously, for day to day management it's an best software/app. It helps me avoid team burnout and the utilization reports make tracking billable time and planning future tasks way less painful. Float just takes the stress out of figuring out who's working on what or what schedule i have for future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Float offers a good interface on the web, but its mobile experience feels too limited for handling detailed management tasks. Additionally, the loading times on the web version can be frustrating, as it sometimes takes ages for Float to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Visual Project Management with Seamless Integrations"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Float is clean, intuitive, and visually clear for managing projects and team capacity. The drag-and-drop scheduling makes it easy to see who’s doing what and when, and the integration with tools like Slack, Google Calendar, and Asana keeps everything connected. It’s great for quick planning and forecasting workloads without getting bogged down in heavy project-management detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The reporting and analytics could be more robust, it’s hard to drill down into project profitability or time-tracking insights beyond surface-level data. Permissions and user roles can feel limited for larger teams, and the mobile experience is less smooth than the desktop version. Sometimes updates or edits take a few clicks more than expected, which slows things down when managing multiple projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for Resource Scheduling with Powerful, Intuitive Reporting"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Float is an incredibly intuitive tool for managing resource scheduling and project allocation. It gives a clear, real-time view of how my team is allocated and helps ensure a balanced workload across projects. Over the years, the platform has evolved significantly, adding reporting features that are both accurate and easy to use. The reports provide great visibility on capacity, utilization, and forecast, allowing me to plan efficiently and make data-driven decisions. It has truly become an essential part of our daily operations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

One limitation I’ve found is related to reporting and data export. While it’s possible to export active team schedules, there’s currently no way to generate monthly reports for each activity that include archived team members. This makes it harder to analyze historical data or build complete performance reports over time. It would be very helpful if Float allowed exporting data that includes both active and archived users, especially for long-term reporting and forecasting purposes. "Manageable and portative"
What do you like best about Float.com?

We've been using Float for our team planning and scheduling needs, and it's been a great fit.

One of the standout features is how easy it is to access the app on the go.

The mobile integration is smooth and reliable, making it simple to check schedules, make updates, or review plans directly from a phone, no hassle.

Float offers just the right amount of features for our needs.

It’s not overloaded with unnecessary complexity, which makes onboarding and daily use straightforward for everyone on the team.

The interface is clean, intuitive, and helps us stay organized without getting in the way.

Overall,

Float has streamlined our planning process and made team coordination much easier. Highly recommended for teams looking for a lightweight yet powerful scheduling tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

one area where Float could improve is in handling daily processes within larger projects.

It would be helpful if it were easier to assign recurring or sequential tasks across multiple team members within a single project. Right now, that kind of planning takes a bit more manual effort than we’d like.

Overall, Float is a reliable and streamlined solution, but a few enhancements in project task management would make it even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
