My challenge back in 2014 was to take a dying print magazine and ensure that it would live on as a digital presence. Of course like many print magazines the print edition still survives but has a digital twin companion.
In some respects the challenge each month is creating the magazine as a PDF for print. Once you have that PDF the digital edition should be easy.
With Flipsnack it really could not be much easier. From login to having an all singing and dancing digital magazine is only around 20 clicks of the mouse if that.

I dont really have any dislikes but I do realise that there is a lot more that I could be doing with Flipsnack.
My starting point was taking a print magazine and creating a digital edition. However if I was starting from scratch and designing a digital only magazine I would do things very differently.
But of course you dont know what you can do until you try.

Honestly, there’s nothing I can think of – Flipsnack does everything I need. The only thing I wish it offered was the ability to embed TikTok videos directly into the book. However, with the help of Flipsnack’s amazing team, we found a workaround, so even that wasn’t a problem for long!

Very user firendly and super easy to get started and complete creating an interactive document righaway. I created a 15 page report within 8 hours and the client was very impressed - could not be happier. I have tried multiple apps which claims to be "easy" but ends up being buggy or one I have to contact support several times for but this was very straightforward and almost plug and play. For anyone wanting to create an interactive report with animations, videos etc. this is a great tool. A caution for anyone creating flipbooks is that it's not optimal to treat them as if they were physical books or glorified PDFs. My advice is to treat each page of a flipbook like a PowerPoint or Canva slide (that's how mine literally start out anyway) and design for simplicity, clarity, and powerful visual messaging.
If you need to share a lot of detailed text, you can include a link to a downloadable or online PDF inside your flipbook so people can read the larger amounts of text in a more user-friendly way.
I use Flipsnack to make digital workbooks, and those are not fillable. So what I do is treat the flipbook as a coffee table quality workbook of the kind you look through but don't mark up, and then include a link to a downloadable fillable PDF INSIDE the flipbook, for learners to download and fill in.
