Turnitin is software that helps find an exact percentage of plagiarism in one data or research article. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is time-consuming sometimes, and that we can find plagiarism in only 3 three in one class at one time. After that, we can not check in that specific class before 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Check within" feature to generate plagiarism reports within a fixed pool of documents.
The database of Turnitin is much more extensive than any other similar software, therefore, promotes original work.
Provides view and resubmit option in front of the report generated easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Appropriately cited text also appears as plagiarised.

Ability to review papers and potential plagiarism not only among students but colleagues as well. Allows you to review your publications and provide percentage concerns on use of wording. It is built into our CANVAS tool and is easily accessible as you review student papers or other written assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have not found anything negative; once you navigate the logistics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The similarity checker is an invaluable source and works very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Grading and feedback in Turnitin... in particular the stability of the user interface in the browser, is at times extremely bad.
Using any browser, the grading page for a student will often lock up while created a quickmark, resulting in much lost time and lost effort in grading. It also appears to be highly sensitive to internet speed. Any slight speed variation due to demand on the network leads to grading pages becoming very slow to load, often 'hanging' or refusing to save edits made. The Quickmarks feature has a search system which is buggy, unstable and which inexplicably includinges generic search results which are not within the chosen/validated/active Quickmarks set - this is the one place the grader does not want random Quickmarks. This makes it consistently exhausting and inflexible as a feedback system on most desktops (WIndows, Mac alike).
We are running Turnitin in Moodle, and one might be tempted to blame Moodle, but Moodle is the open source software and Turnitin is the user-pays system, so I would say that the onus is on Turnitin to improve how it works in Moodle.
The problem here is that there is no effective competition for Turnitin - no for-profit organisation can perform without decent competition. By failing to make improvements in the stability of its UI, Turnitin has created an opening for an innovator to rise as a killer competitor. Open source is the possible origin of that software, which might force TII to go the way of Adobe rather than continue to be the innovator in plagiarism checking, grading and feedback provisin in elearning environments. The best thing about Turnitin is that it compares the content to various other papers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are two dislikes from my point of view. 1. it has limited resources to compare data. And 2. To have an account with Turnitin is very expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing! It is an inaccurate plagiarism checker as it doesn't consider that plagiarism came from many sources. So, I used several sources to make two sentences. This company is ridiculous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The inaccurate plagiarism accusation plagiarism checker. Your product puts ten phrases together from 10 different sources and completes one sentence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like most things about TurnItIn. The Feedback Studio runs an Originality Report and allows users to create and save rubrics and grading sets. In-line feedback provides students with roll-over information for extra help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only issue is that some features don't work or don't work well when I primarily am using the touchscreen function on my device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The feedback studio and grademark tools are fantastic and feature rich tools, and can be implemented within the Moodle Learning Management System to simplify workflows and user management.
It's incredibly easy to have the plugin setup and configured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes papers take long to generate similarity reports, observed with thousands of user cases. Usually there is no explanation for this, but it is often beyond the 24 hour resubmission claim that Turnitin has.
Accessing support takes a long time, or is inconsistent. Some queries may be addressed within 24 hours, others can take up to a week.
It's fairly expensive and costs typically keep escalating, but it's the industry standard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
