Top Rated FatCow Alternatives
FatCow was one of the first web hosting services I used. They've been around for quite a while and Far as Im concerned were the first "green" IT web host in the biz.
They integrate a lot of humor into their business as well which, in the IT world isnt always there and its appreciated !!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have any dislikes! They are the complete package! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their plan is very cheap, among the cheapest I believe. And they do all the standard webhosting features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their interface is massively outdated. Their website hasn't changed in the pas 15 years or so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to control our website with this and its tools are awesome which we can work with . Customer service is also very fast. It has the complete package to host my website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its plans are expensive which makes many users to think about it while using this platform that they should use it or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of the time of writing (Feb. 2021), nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
TL;DR:
- Overpriced
- Frustrating, non-intuitive UX
- Customer Service doesn't understand basic English
- "A la carte" services snuck into my account without my approval
- Continued to charge me for services for domains I had moved to a different host

I first started as a customer of FatCow in 2010. I loved that they used "green" energy sources, and I was willing to pay a little more for great customer service. And for many years, they were, as their slogan says, "udderly fantastic"!
But then everything changed in 2018. (It is now 2021 at the time of this writing.)
The way FatCow now does business is just truly tricky, duplicitous, and intentionally confusing. I find this reprehensible.
Since 2019, I have gradually moved all of my domains, as well as my hosting services, to another provider. This month, I am officially closing out my relationship with FatCow, as my last domain has finally transferred and my FatCow hosting package is finally ending.
Here's my experience as a customer of their current state:
- Everything is 1.5-4x overpriced compared to competitors (domains, hosting, privacy, etc.).
- The back-end "domain management" dashboard was redesigned in 2019, and now navigation is convoluted and near impossible. I'm a UX designer. It's awful. Sadly, it used to be really easy.
- FatCow added "a la carte" services to my account — like, secretly snuck them in — without my approval.
- FatCow still charged me for services (e.g., domain privacy) several months AFTER I had transferred my domain to another host. Unbelievable. I had to contact Customer Service to get them to remove this charge and "cancel" the service "separately."
- They move up your renewal date by a week each year. I initially purchased my first domain and hosting service in November 2010. You'd think it would renew each year in November, right? WRONG. I have no idea why or how FatCow did this, but I was cheated out of my full duration of services by about a week each year. By the time I transferred my final domain away, FatCow had moved up my renewal date to September — it moved up THAT much over the years, approximately 10-11 weeks if I go by the calendar. This is mind-boggling. Why wouldn't it just renew at the same time each year?
- Customer Service (CS) used to be fantastic: a native English-speaker, located in the US (!), would answer the phone, and they were always smart, patient, and helpful. They helped me so many times with different issues over the years, and IMO, this alone was worth paying a premium for. But then around 2018, FatCow farmed out their CS to a call center in Asia. Now, no matter how I phrase things, I just cannot get them to understand what I am saying.
- When you contact CS to cancel a product/service, they "pull a Comcast" and constantly try to derail the conversation to "save a sale." They completely ignore your original question and, instead, ask why you are canceling, what they can do to improve, how they can get you to stay, etc. This has happened every time I've needed to contact CS (which has unfortunately been a lot, because their system is so intentionally convoluted, confusing, and non-navigable). In each conversation, I have to tell them 2-4 times to stop derailing/trying to change the subject and that I am only there to have them confirm the cancellation of my services. It's like pulling teeth; they don't listen to you. This is not only frustrating but incredibly disrespectful of the customer's time.
I used to recommend FatCow to others but no longer do so (clearly), and I will not be returning to them as a provider. It's sad because they used to be really great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really don't have anything good to say about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Worst customer service. They crashed my website and company email for over 3 days without warning. They did not provide vital info that this would happen. Cost us thousands in losses! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their web hosting solution is brilliant with free domains and best in class server uptime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Despite having good uptime, their servers are little slow than the competition. Extra benifits come with a price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

a platform where is included a sufficient number of sites for each task that you can start in the process of building your website like weebly, impress.ly, ecwid store builder and others, some sites are premium like gomobi website builder which is to build mobile custom sites, it is clear here that fatcow involves a lot of high performance platforms at each step through which the process of making a professional website goes by joining a lot of sites inside that platform fatcow
if you want statistics on your website fatcow offers "the visitor statistics page" which contains parameters to configure manually for two platforms weblizer, AWstats and for the design the MOJO marketplace offers hundreds of templates and graphics, there are many of sections that we did not talk about that each one includes several features and if we can add one is the one called CGI and scripted language support in the additional tools section that allows you to add mysql database and php scripting , with the mysql database, you can enable and schedule website backups and manage the database.
going beyond this if you want to market your site, fatcow offer you bing ad credit, google adwords credit, free listing yellow pages and for the security side it offers you an SSL secure server Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
even the fatcow has only one hosting plan they have many sections included inside it and under each section there are many features to make a perfect website for any kind of business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Many Great things have their service .. but the most outstanding is their technical support, no matter the day, the time. they are ready to help, any other hosting provider must wait hours to solve problems, FATCOW always try to give the solution to the problem for this 100 points Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
although I'm 100% satisfied, you have to answer what I DO NOT LIKE ... it may only be that they do not implement the new SSL project of Let's Encrypt ... they only use COMODO as the certification authority .. it's the only thing so far be negative Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do like their cheaper options for buying a domain name. I currently have 1 domain purchased through them and they do offer very competitive rates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have gotten things snuck onto my bill numerous times. From site security protection to domain protection. These were all things that I did not want and they were near impossible to opt out of. This is very bad business practices for the users that are purchasing products from FatCow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Fast customer service and easy to control my website.
I think this company is pretty good for the user who wants to make a simple and cheap website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After first promotion period, the price might go up high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Cost. Fatcow doesn't really do anything exceptionally well. The customer service is okay, the user interface feels like an old 90's style bulletin board. Mostly it's good because of how inexpensive it is... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How terribly clunky it is, the size limitations of images and attachments. The sheer number of steps in an attachment. The refresh button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
