Recovery is very easy to do. All you need to boot the recovery CD, Configure the network, and the disks are restored. Its also easy to mount a snapshot and do recovery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In order to get it working on your cloud you need a lot of work to do. Also the disksafe needs a server reboot to install which is difficult to get in a production environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like that I can configure everything as disk-based backups that I can pull individual files or do a bare-metal restore of any server I'm backing up. The restore process is simple and intuitive and the entire system is easy to expand so that it can scale as your needs increase. Backups and restores are very fast due to the use of disks and the connections between servers, but you can also configure everything as virtual tapes for ease of management. Standard generic driver support, so no provider specific driver like for example atape device driver for IBM LTO tape devices not usable, hence the multipath functionality of the device driver can not be used with the FalconStor appliance, which is very disappointing.
