What do you like best about Esri ArcGIS?

ArcGIS is extremely powerful and flexible, with the ability to import data from a huge variety of sources. If there's a tool or feature that's not already built in to the application, you can build your own with Python. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Esri ArcGIS?

It isn't intuitive at all. You will definitely need to buy a few books and do some training, however there ARE a number of free training and webinars available on the ESRI site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Esri ArcGIS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm using ArcGIS for facilities management and documentation. ArcGIS also makes data visualization a breeze for doing territory analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use ArcGIS to import and export to Trimble and Microstation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Difficult to manage the projection versus geographic coordinate system. I manage multiple coordinate systems on the same map project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
