I like that this software will send a notification to our parts clerk when our on hand supply has been exhausted. I also like that we have all our calendar based scheduled PMs where they can be quickly accessed and veiwed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the fact that there is nowhere to identify when a part is on order in the parts sheet. We keep over 5,000 spare parts in our facility and it gets VERY difficult for our parts clerk to keep up with what she already has on order when someone comes to her and asks about a specific part. We previously had a simple Excel sheet that had a column where she could enter how many were on order and when the order was placed so that all the maintenance techs could see it.
Also, I have quite a bit of trouble when using the program on a computer with Internet Explorer. It seems to run better on Google Chrome, but our IS department will not put Chrome on all our computers. I have spent three days trying to modify names of all our scheduled PMs (of which there are over 600, by the way) and half the time it isn't saving my changes. I am trying to only do ten to twenty at a time and saving often (as is recommended), but I lost over an hour's worth of work today because I kept getting an error and it wouldn't save. I dislike everything; they need to go back to the drawing board with this system. They have no idea how to run or create a garage software program. It's horrible; nothing works as it should, and basic information; work order 101 is not even an option. Something as simple as mileage, basic information took an act of god to get on the work order, and it's still not right; if you go back to the work order later, it's gone, it doesn't retain information, this is just for starters. Stuff disappears all the time; there is so much wrong with this I don't even know where to begin. Customer service gives you lip service, if they even contact you at all. Nothing gets resolved; it is by far the worst system I have ever dealt with in my 20 years in the business. The sad part is the software-based Manager Plus system was spot on; this new web-based system sucks big time. Don't fall for the quality of the original software program; it's not the same at all. The original owners of this software should be furious about how they have run this spot-on name and program into the ground. Run, don't walk away from this system; you will be disappointed and your money wasted. Also, be aware that this company has been sold twice since it was launched, and each time nothing changes.
