The back office interface is by far the best one we trialled during a selection we ran a few years back. It has evolved since then to make it even easier to manage digital signage at scale. The in-build device management functionality also gives you real-time metrics about devices that could be failing. The features offered for front end rendering are robust and constantly maintained to add new functionality like trending social platforms. We deployed the first range of screens ourselves and then used a vendor to deploy the rest which I would recommend for any deployments at scale. The support team is very responsive, normally coming back within the hour during business hours and having knowledge about both software but also potential hardware or network issues. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone looking for digital signage management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price points can be a little high when you're getting started. Once we scaled up they became more reasonable. The hardware & software setup takes some getting used to but this is to be expected in the signage world. We had implementors install the screens in the end as it was just easier. It's really easy to create effective branded signage for your needs. We use it on factory floors 24/7 to display run rates, and the setup was incredibly easy.
The Customer Support though stands it apart. I've had an instance where we couldn't get something to work on one of the TVs, and it was actually Microsoft's fault - but their help in getting a workaround has actually given a better solution than we initially installed. It was so easy to integrate onto our current network too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have been a couple of occasions where the software has timed out - but it's only happened on a couple of occasions, so doesn't affect usage particularly. Very easily fixed with a 30 second reboot too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We switched to embed signage recently for our office screens around our building. The difference has been huge - the tool is so easy to use and intuitive. Colleagues who are not from Comms find it easy to use as well, and it saves us a whole lot of paper for printing! I have taken to creating animated slides on Canva and uploading as MP4. The quality is great and they are more eyecatching than stills. Plus the media wall is easy to update in our reception. Thanks to Drew and the team for helping us get started. So far I haven't found any downsides! The tool is super simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is intuitive and very easy to learn. I was able to set up our companies interactive display for a trade show very easily and only needed to ask a question from the developers once. It’s also quite powerful and I was able to achieve everything I wanted to do with it quite quickly and only scratched the surface of what’s it’s capable in terms of scripting and real time integrations. Being able to combine both stills and video within our interactive display was very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being cloud based only, it was a hinderance that we couldn’t edit it onsite due to lack of internet connectivity. Once the finished project is downloaded to a device, it can not longer be changed. You need to edit the original online and re-downloading it. Also, some of the interface features are a little quirky, the tiny window for file browsing to upload files being my main gripe. The simplicity to get screens added to the platform and then the shear amount of ways in which you could get content to those screens was great. Simple implementation and then great customer support afterwards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The web interface for setup can sometimes be confusing as the shear number of options available is immense. This didn't affect the end-user experience however. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Good to be able to display content on screen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
cannot take different format, else then jpg: word, ppt, ...
using different screens, it would be good to be able to dissociate screens more easily and be able to display different content
would be nice to use "sound" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most useful feature is the Power BI widget, it's very easy to configure, navigate and use, really great support when a problem happen, very configurable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love to have available to change the clock time zone and there's been a couple of times with failures on the power BI widget, but it has been quickly resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support documents are excellent, and we find it straightforward to set up new clients and maintain their channels. The ability to see who's online, who's offline and what devices are running makes checking the status or troubleshooting user issues quick and easy. Organizing our clients into different accounts with individualized access is a great feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface/dashboard is a little challenging to get around until you're working with it regularly. We don't find it as intuitive as some other, unrelated software we work with - but Embed Signage is the only content management system for digital screens that we're using. so we can't compare it accurately to direct competitors.
