What problems is EdPuzzle solving and how is that benefiting you?

Students often skip through education videos and do not watch them. If they do watch them, they are not reflecting on the video as it is progressing. EdPuzzle allows students to do this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdPuzzle?

Not much to dislike. I think it is a great product. At times troubleshooting a teacher's integration can be a challenge, but overall we use this product seemlessly with our Canvas LMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdPuzzle solving and how is that benefiting you?

EdPuzzle has been used in our district for years, but became a valuable tool for our students when we launched our Canvas LMS. The integraton of EdPuzzle with Canvas makes the grading process much easier for our teachers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdPuzzle?

It is a very creative way to present information. You can use different features to present material. Use a mini-movie, a video, a music video, or other types of video, and the students can interact with it. You can pose questions for comprehension and thought processing. You have complete control of the particulars of the video to review at stopping points. You can also slow it down or speed it up! The students then submit their answers for you to see how they did. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdPuzzle?

I really can't think of a particular issue that I dislike about Edpuzzle, But Edpuzzle has a set amount of features, but I would like it to perhaps allow the students to be able to create Edpuzzles or create alternate endings of videos. Edpuzzle uses already created videos and has a variety to choose from. Edpuzzle does not use captions automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdPuzzle solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am solving the problem of specific comprehension skills. I can stop and start the media at different points to review, or emphasize the content presented. I can also choose other users' videos that they created that are good! I can also share mine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdPuzzle?

I like that EdPuzzle allows me to assign my students videos to watch, and it tracks if they have watched the video. I can also insert questions throughout the video to check their understanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdPuzzle?

There is a learning curve on how to edit videos and and add questions. There also seems to be a lot of unnecessary clicking to get to each class's gradebook and assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdPuzzle solving and how is that benefiting you?

EdPuzzle has been great for remote learning, and I have continued to use it even with all my students in person for an additional option when students are absent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdPuzzle?

EdPuzzle has revolutionized how I teach, especially as relates to homework assignments. In the past, it was hard to ensure students were completing an assignment. Now I give that assignment as an EdPuzzle, disable skipping, and insert the questions throughout the video instead of in a worksheet. Student comprehension is WAY up, and cheating is WAY down. 10/10 recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdPuzzle?

The gradesheet on EdPuzzle can take a few seconds to load, especially if you use EdPuzzle frequently and have a lot of assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering EdPuzzle:

It's perfect for homework assignments! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdPuzzle solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I use EdPuzzle for my at-home reading, I've noticed tremendous gains in student comprehension and completion. Test scores are up, and my students are less likely to cheat or skim. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdPuzzle?

EdPuzzle has been a wonderful platform to use for remote video sharing to groups of people. There are many features, but by far the best are the data analytics and organizational layout.

Upon assigning a video to a class and setting a due date (and time even), the classroom page will show when the video was last accessed, what percentage of the video is complete, and will store a grade for the video (if quiz questions are added within the video). On that note, the teacher can insert questions within a video for students to answer, and may choose whether the students can skip over sections of the video, or have to stop and pause anywhere before moving on.

The organization is a life-saver. The teacher can store content within folders, and then can assign a video from that folder. EdPuzzle is also connected to other platforms, such as YouTube or Khan Academy, where videos can also be pulled from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdPuzzle?

There have been issues with uploading videos directly from my device to the site. I have had to upload videos to YouTube first and then to EdPuzzle, in order to make it work smoothly. There is also limited space to store videos on EdPUzzle without getting the Pro version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdPuzzle solving and how is that benefiting you?

EdPuzzle has been a very good way to show a concept to students via video, while also assessing for understanding with the inserted questions. It is also a great way to allow students to work at their own pace, to stop and pause when needed, or even skip ahead for faster learners, something they cannot do in a regular classroom.
