What do you like best about Eclipse?

Eclipse is a really versatile tool, especially if you're into Java development. I love how customizable it is with the huge range of plugins available—it feels like you can tweak it to fit almost any project. The built-in features like debugging and project management are super helpful, and it’s great that it’s open-source, making it accessible to everyone. It’s a tool that gets the job done, even for complex projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

The main downside is that it can be a bit slow, especially when working on larger projects. The interface feels a little outdated and I could definitely use a refresh to make it more user-friendly. Also, setting up plugins and dependencies can be a bit of a pain if you’re new to the software—it’s not always the smoothest process. (btw I'm using Eclipse on Zorin os ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?

Eclipse makes managing projects easier by bringing together coding, testing, and debugging tools in one place. And it is helps a lot by catching errors early and providing suggestions as I code. The plugins and customization options let me work on different types of projects without needing separate tools. Overall, it helps me stay organized and get things done more efficiently despite its occasional slowness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am extremely eleated by the number of features eclipse has to offer. To begin with auto completion of syntaxes while writing the code, suggestion for optimization of code, testing to enhance the coverage of the code, plugins such as git to make collaboration easier and pushing the code a cake walk, the list can go on and on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

The only drawback I have seen in eclipse is the inactivity or late response it gives when there's a large number to files to process or compile often it leads to the not responding state. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has made my collaboration easier than expected I do not have to associate with a separate platform to go and find the files where I have made the changes, git plugin allows me to push the code then and there from the IDE itself. And the suggesting algorithm is also a blessing for people like me who tend to forget the syntax often Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
