The interesting feature I liked about eclipse che is that it allows you to expand you workspace nad resource with your team members and also you can enable user permission just like unix so that security is not compromised. It's so light you can use web server instead of desktop options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel that compared to eclipse che visual studio is actually code because of the various flexibility in working any language of your choice as it provides suitable extensions to it so the extensibility of the eclipse che is not that good at the moment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

All the things in eclipse are well aligned, there is nothing that I dislike about eclipse explorer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It operates in the cloud, allowing developers to access their development enviroment from anywhere using a web browser. It provides a workspace abstraction that encapsulates the code runtime dependencies and tool needed for development. It support multiple programming language and frameworks. Developer cn creates runtimes and stacks tailored to their projects requirements. Che leverage container technology to create isolated and reproducible development enviroment. It offers collaborative features such as real time code sharing, live collaboration and integrated chat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Running multiple containers for different workspaces can be resource intensive. Compared to more established ise eclipse Che might have a smaller resources or support available for troubleshooting.Lack of robust offline capabilities might restrict users from accessing their workspaces and working on projects when not connected to the internet. Setting up custom runtimes stacks or tooling within containers might be complex especially with user unfamiliar with containerization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a good IDE if you know what you are doing. It works great with Java, but to get other languages to work, you have to install lots of plugins for them to be supported. Takes a while to get used to the interface but once you are, there are a lot of things you can do with it! It is very feature driven and has lots of options and settings to best enable your workflow. Eclipse Che constantly crashes, which can really disrupt workflow. It also does not run smoothly most times. It lags and freezes more times than not, so you will need really good RAM and CPU in order for this to work properly for you. It is also too confusing to begin with, needs to have a better UI in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
