Our company has always cared about developer experience but rolling out DX has given them a way to make systematic improvements. As a team we review the results every sprint and triage actions we’re going to take to improve. It feels like it’s become embedded in our retros and made them much more productive. We really want the ability to find the right person that should review a PR and ping them directly. My manager has said this is on DX’s roadmap, but it’s something we’re missing right now that would definitely be used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DX provides critical visibility into how the engineering organization is performing through a combination of qualitative and quantitative data. Notably, your organization's performance can be compared to a larger set of industry data to see where you stand. For a company that's serious about making the developer experience a competitive advantage for their business, it's game changing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the more nascent functionality like Data Cloud requires a fair amount of effort to draw more advanced insights from. Though access to the raw data through SQL is available, visualizing the data through the DX interface is behind what you can do with other data analytics tools. Fortunately this can be circumvented by plugging the data directly into existing business intelligence tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Now that we've fully rolled out DX, our Developer Productivity initiative can gauge progress and find areas of pain to focus our improvement efforts. Compared to our legacy Engineering Sentiment survey, DX gives us a higher participation rate, an expertly crafted survey, and immediate turn around of the survey results. This allows us to feel confident in the survey data and take action immediately. Additionally, the professional services included in the DX subscription are second to none, it feels like DX is part of our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only pain point we have, which is mostly not a problem w/ DX, is making sense of our org chart and then getting it in shape to import to DX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The survey product has been very useful for us!
- We consistently see particpation rates of 95%+ whereas before we were seeing under 50%. For context, we run the survey quarterly.
- It's easy to set up
- Everyone can easily analyze the results and gain insights
- The support provided by the DX team is great (shout out to Jen) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We're still learning how to derive significant value from their products such as Data Cloud, PlatformX and Onboarding. More handholding and guidance here would be helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DX gives you feedback about how productive and effective your developers are by simply asking your developers. You get regular quarterly surveys that take qualitative questions and turn them into measures to be improved. Use it to understand your opportunities as well as your successes. The survey product is the backbone of their offering. You need a culture that's ready to give feedback and a leadership willing to make changes in response to that feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Industry benchmarking, comparisons with previous snapshots, and heatmaps provide valuable insights by thoroughly analyzing the results. These tools are extremely useful for understanding the precise status of the metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be helpful to have a hypothesis when numbers move up or down drastically, along with a module for root cause analysis of these changes. The Interview feature is quite useful, but additional enhancements would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Permissions structure can be better
