Doxy takes a photo of you right as you log in to use as your avatar for the session, but you don't know when it's being taken, so it often turns out to be a horrible photo of yourself. It seemed like there were frequent issues with the site. This was in 2020-early 2021. Very limited extras and capabilities such as a group meeting, screen sharing, or changing the background. Pricing is a little high for the advanced feature, but competitive. Would be night to have differenct pricing tiers with some of the advanced features available at lower price point. Doxy.me is super easy to use - for both the clinician and the client/patient. I like that there is a simple URL for both my clients and me to remember and that there is a waiting room that clients can wait in while I finish up with another. Also, I like the new updates with the whiteboard to illustrate concepts I'm using in my psychotherapy sessions. There are very few things that I dislike about Doxy.me. One is that there are sometimes issues with clients joining a call with video and audio synced up, but there is a fairly easy fix for that in-session. I love that the client does not need to download an app or anything or even create a login to use this telehealth option. All you need to do is send them the link; once they click the link, they type in their name, and it takes them straight to the meeting. It is HIPAA compliant, and no one else can join the meeting. I am not tech savvy, but wish doxy.me could help call quality even when my client doesn't have great service. In this time where everyone is doing so much online from home, quality can be greatly effected just by having kids in the home doing school work.
