Doppler makes it very easy to set up multiple environments, set secrets for those environments, and sync those secrets to all underlying systems. We use Doppler as the source of truth, and automatically sync the secrets to platforms like GitHub and Google Cloud with very straightforward configuration. The ability to sync secrets to a dev environment is also amazing, we no longer need to share .env files through a side-channel to members of the team. This makes onboarding folks like contractors a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not sure if there are any true downsides, but there are a few small annoyances:
1) Some of the integrations dump all secret values into a single secret. This can be annoying to manage.
2) If secrets are needed on the dev environment, unlike a .env file that can be read by any tool, you have to use the Doppler CLI to inject the secrets as env variables. I like the security aspect of this, but it is very slightly annoying.
Both of these are very minor issues! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The refferal scheme. Please bring back the $50 per referral invite or whatever it was. That was such a nice incentive for people to start using Doppler Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doppler is a great solution for managing secrets. They provide a really easy way to have a source of truth for managing secrets. Its seamless integration with AWS Secrets Manager, Vercel, and GitHub has simplified our workflows and eliminated manual overhead. While I haven’t used the Terraform provider yet, the documentation is looks really promising, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keep organization operation simple and able to work seamlessly without added pressure on how to keep material stay confidential. Simple implementation by the use of docker container. Store data remotely in cloud storage for recovery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Complicated to setup in Windows environment. Other Os like Linux has better chances and easy to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doppler makes it super easy to integrate with tons of different platforms. By storing our secrets in doppler, we're able to ensure our secrets are not platform locked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pricing is a little high, some integrations do not offer automated re-deploy on changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy access management but with secure platform to keep secret leaked. Only person with permit approved can access the sensitive data. Scan all the environment and find data location that is vulnerable to threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quite expensive for a medium business to use. Need technical person to setup it as it can get too technical for normal user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great development tool , its well documented and its integration features are just unique. We've been able to use its integration features for GitHub, Kubernetes secrets and even our SRE vault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Doppler's secret referencing to create multiple environments that reference a single set of API secrets. We have 2 databases, one for dev and one for production, with multiple client apps (mobile, desktop, and some web based tools) that need API secrets for the database and other services. I love that I can make an environment for each client app and create subsets of secrets without needing to have copies of text all over the place. The backend code needs access to everything, but the frontend clients only need a subset. Some of the web tools only need a smaller subset than the mobile app. Creating environements in Doppler that all reference the master list lets me deliver only the secrets I want for each use case and without needing to duplicate values. I haven't used a lot of tools, but I can say that the dashboard for managing a lot of environments isn't great, since you get a long horizontal scrolling page after about 3 environments. I'd rather they are displayed in a grid or vertically. Also the site isn't designed for mobile so if you ever need to make a quick change from your phone, good luck! What I like the most in the SecretOps Plataform it is that is an easy platform to use, it is easy to find what I created, and easy to create new secrets. The feature related to when some integration was used it is something that I really enjoy. Of course, my experience with doppler also is something that I consider good mostly because when we migrated our secrets from .env files to doppler it was an easy implementation. I don´t like two things: The first one it is in our case that we have three environments. For some secrets, they have the same value in all environments and doesn´t have an option to "triplicate" the secre value for all these environment. I have to do this manually.
The other thing that I miss it is a feature that says how many times some secret was used, because sometimes alongside with a refactory, maybe we can change something that is related to a secret, like we can delete a secret and it become obsolete. For some miss attention, the dev could forgot to delete the secret, and it will load unnecessarily. If there is a feature that tells how many times a secret was used with a date filter, or better, if there is a notification saying that a secret is not being used, that would be cool. A nice to have.
