What do you like best about Doodly?

The product is intuitive which is a time saver - just drag and drop and move images around the screen. And it is simple to add your own images to use in the videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Doodly?

This is not really a dislike. Because of the simplicity of product use, people should understand it does not have as robust a set of editing features, such as splitting or snapping, as other animated or video-creation programs. What problems is Doodly solving and how is that benefiting you?

I like to create unique videos that are consistent with our branding AND are applicable to a wide range of age groups. Animated videos appeal to professionals and students - adults and children. So whether I'm creating longer and more complex explainer videos or short videos for social media, I can quickly create and post projects. Because I've had to reduce staffing due to the pandemic, I can't delegate as much as before. But I want to remain creative and provide unique and interesting content. What do you like best about Doodly?

Doodly provides the means to bring about a difference to explaining concepts and ideas and breaths in mystery and fun into videos. The drawing process captivates and engages keeping viewers absorbed with each line drawn, while they anticipate the finished product. I appreciate the ease in technology to make a video and the high quality results. I also value that items can be uploaded into Doodly providing me with the ability to personalize and brand my video as required. The Reveal Path functionality is the cherry on top providing the means to teach Doodly how to draw my personalized images as if they came packaged within Doodly itself. What do you dislike about Doodly?

One of the draw backs of Doodly is the high price tag for the advanced training, which with my exchange rate I choose to rather upgrade my Doodly version. Another drawback; I look so forward to receiving my upgrade messages from Toonly as it clearly illustrates what has been upgraded, what characters and objects are new etc. I do not get the same from Doodly, which I really would appreciate. "DIY Videos Made Simple!"

What do you like best about Doodly?

Doodly is a very user friendly platform. As someone who has less than moderate proficiency of computers and ZERO design experience I was thoroughly impressed by how simple it is to design and create a unique cartoon video. To put it in perspective, previously we would spend dozens of hours and hundreds of dollars in hiring third parties to design videos and it would take weeks for us to get the final videos, and Doodly now lets us have a video ready by the afternoon after a few cups of coffee. If we decide to edit something later, we don't need to re-hire a third party crew and have the control to quickly make any adjustments we need. Doodly videos allowed us to not only create marketing pieces but also internal training videos that can be used to get new hires up to speed. What do you like best about Doodly?

The intuitive interface is very helpful. I work with my tech interns on projects, and it's easy for any of us to pick up where the other left off. The content library is filled with resources., plus there's the ability to import your own images. The final product is very engaging and an effective means of delivering content. Our faculty and students love our Doodlys! On the production side, it's so refreshing to have creative control and let Doodly do the heavy lifting. And, it doesn't hurt that it's so much fun, you don't feel like you're working! It also helps that the product is very affordable, even for budget-strapped higher ed. The storage structure was cumbersome in early release, but folders have solved those challenges. Now that there's a folder structure, my workflow has greatly improved. Haven't had any other issues, so there's really nothing I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We're using Doodly to produce short informational videos, as well as faculty introductions, etc. Being able to import a person's bitmoji and have them voiceover is a huge benefit. Many people don't want to be on video, but they are perfectly fine with their cartoon self being the star. It gives the whole video a much more natural vibe, as there's no nervous stumbling. I have found that finding images in the assets library is not the easiest. I would also like more college-based images in your market place... so many have a business slant. It would be GREAT to be able to buy individual assets instead of packages. I also much prefer the quality of the assets available in Marketplace to the quality of artwork that comes with the package. I have purchased a lot of the artwork I've used through megapixl.com because I can find more of the type of pictures I need through an outside source. It would also be great to be able to crop and edit images within the program, but that is just a wishlist item. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

During this pandemic, working from home, I have used Doodly a lot to address issues with student services in my department. We have mostly used them as FAQs. Many of the students in my department are deaf so making things very visual is a big plus. So far, we send them out in emails, but we are exploring putting them on our webpage and on our FB page.
