What do you like best about OpenText Documentum?
Documentum is great for easily uploading files into a single storage file. There are so many tags you can put on each file so that they are easy to find later. You can search and store by date, time, file name, student information, etc. The best part is being able to sort through information based on different tags. It is also great that we are able to work from so many different computers and administrators using this. It makes it highly collaborative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about OpenText Documentum?
The interface could be faster and more modern. Like I said, you can store and search a lot, but it takes quite awhile. It also isn't the fastest in uploading files so something faster might make it more efficient.
Thus, if I were able to offer any advice on how Documentum could get better it would be by making a faster and more modern looking interface which would also help it in competing with other products. Another thing is that it would be nice to be able to edit documents within the system and keep the previous documents, similar to how Dropbox works. Lastly, I'm not sure if my organization just does not have the best scanners at the moment, but having an interface that is able to pull a lot of the information for tagging right off of the scanned paper would save a lot of administrative time. What do you like best about OpenText Documentum?
The content management in Documentum is straightforward and simple. It allows users to configure based on industry and structure it through stakeholder's desired category Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about OpenText Documentum?
The interface and color are the same and cannot be configured. It is used more on the user's folder structure. Also, the organization will have to asses thoroughly the permission access since the ACL applied is inherited by the subfolders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The product has evolved for long time, the user experience is quite intutive, and we hardly encounter any issues while useing the application. Wyswyg editor is the best among most of the ECM tools in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about OpenText Documentum?
Only thing it should have been better is to provide better help content which is contexual and start incorporating AI for the user journeys.
Take initiatives to expand the communities and documentation. We find large number of documents and help for other tools like Adobe, Sitecore and Drupal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We tried this out to sort all the documentation. Overall a great CMS system to sort our messy files on google docs. It is hard to find a good product these days. A lot of features... more than we needed for our workflows. We really needed a central hub for securely storing content and organize biz processes and flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
