"Absolutely wonderful Developer Experience so far"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

The flexibility to show, update and delete data from the table. Generally the tables only promote single entry editing, whereas the tables in DevExpress, Datagrids help in batch mode editing as well as row mode editing. The custom store also helps in further control over the data in each step of the process in update or delete operations.

The custom confirmation pop up of higher order function is an absolute developer's wish come true. We as developers now don't have to create multiple pop ups, just give in the options as needed and you can easily get the confirmation pop up.

TreeView/TreeList to show branching hierarchy is solving most of the developer's nightmare of branching data one inside other, just define the data properly and table takes care of everything, absolute blessing it seems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

At some places, the grids seem to be in vintage styling unlike other libraries that offer modern designs. But I see this is changing and also we developers see DevExpress more as a functionality supporting library making the developer experience easy and fulfilling any type of user requirements over a gimmick to attract people in first sight through designs. What do you like best about DevExpress?

I use Devexpress Winform and Office File API. Both sets are almost complete, especially Winforms. We sell software to industry where Windows is the operating system of choice. There is absolutely no reason to switch to any other type of development stack that doesn't even come close to Winform's completeness.

The support you get from Devexpress is world class. You not only get links to documentation, but they spend time coding working examples based on your own questions. You usually get an answer within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

There is actually nothing to point out as negative about Devexpress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DevExpress?

DevExpress provides a full suite to simplify the development of business applications. Developers can focus on business implementations make any implementation faster, since the suite provides all typical functionalities that an enterprise application requires (reporting, Office API, etc...).

What else? Documentation level: excellent. Technical support: excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

Nothing to dislike but the review requires also this field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Controls for Windows (Desktop) with great support to developers"
5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

Regarding their components, they make good design decisions (both user interface and API for developers). The support team is always very helpful and documentation is very broad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

In some new/vanguard technologies (e.g. Blazor), DevExpress uses to lack behind at the beggining if compared to other providers - I think this is a team's decision to focus in an more ideal implementations before shipping solutions to these technologies. I think that recently the new releases have lower new features that used to be in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great solution"
5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

Its a great product with tons of controls.

It's constantly improving at a fast pace right with current technology.

Support is the best, always having a fast and correct response from their team.

What's not to like ? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

I don't really have anything negative to say. Yeah sometimes there's bugs bug its usually fixed in order. Maybe core components aren't yet perfect, but then again, core itself is changing fast so its to be expecetd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Support provided is worth the price of the tool"
5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

I have been using the DevExpress tools for almost 20 years. They shorten the process of taking an idea to a finished product. Most of the time, you can find an example on the support site that is exactly what you are trying to accomplish. If you can't locate an example, you can contact support with what your need and they will point you to an example or write some sample code.

The support itself is worth the cost of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about the DevExpress suite of tools. When working with departments at work, I like to say "if you can imagine it, I can code it" even before I know how to do it.

I am confident that I can configure the ask to work with the development tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding product and off the charts tech support. Coming from a 20 year customer."
5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

Best 3rd party software components out there. And they have never once not followed through on helping me solve an issue. (honestly dont know how their tech support does it with the speed they respond and their depth of knowledge of a very sophisticated stack). Coming from 20 year user of DevEx components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

The number of components and capabilities of the components and implementing has made for a higher leaning curve than it used to be. At the end of the day still well worht it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
