## DevExpress Reviews
  ### 1. DevExpress XAF enabled us to developed MediManage Pro - A complete hospital management system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** A T M Minhazul I. | Managing Director, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DevExpress XAF is a game-changer for software developers, providing an unparalleled experience in application development. The platform's robust features, flexibility, and seamless integration make it a standout choice. The intuitive UI design tools expedite development, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly end product.

MediManage Pro, powered by DevExpress XAF, is revolutionizing the landscape of medical management software. Its intuitive interface, seamless integration, and powerful capabilities redefine healthcare operations. DevExpress XAF helps us to achieve the desired destination.

You can check detailed testimonials here:
https://www.devexpress.com/AboutUs/Testimonials/astgd/

In conclusion, DevExpress XAF is a reliable, feature-rich solution that empowers developers to create sophisticated applications efficiently. Highly recommended for businesses seeking a robust development framework.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

DevExpress Ultimate Subscription should be more cheap for yearly renewal and first-time payment.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ASTGD needed a solution that could provide cutting edge error-free solutions in less time. DevExpress XAF is a low-code application framework that is also ORM based and provides some crucial built-in modules that come in handy while developing this kind of application. Despite all these ASTGD chose XAF for two main reasons:

1. XAF provides automated UI and the model editor provides the capability to easily customize UI.
2. XAF comes with built-in security modules that provide roles and user-based permission and it is easy to implement/modify/customize.

  ### 2. Fantastic support, great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel I. | Chief Software Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Above all, how responsive their tech support is, both in how quick they answer and how well the suggested solution works for the given question. Having used other component suites before, DevExpress on a constant basis outperforms them in features and quality of their code.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

The only gripe I have is that they keep the open curly brace on the same line instead of the next :)

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The number of examples available for all their components makes them easy to use and if there isn't a viable example for a more fringe scenario, their support is more than willing and able to help with those scenarios as well.
I am using several different of their products, from WinForms, to ASP.Net WebForms to Blazor in our most recent projects. Their component suite has on many occasions made our implementation so much easier compared to using out of the box components for the corresponding technology stacks.

  ### 3. Friendly and highly skilled staff at DevExpress support team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian P. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

devextrem for angular is good.
its documentation is good.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

xtrareports has issues, and ux not easy.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

exporting reports to pdf, excel, word...
rich features of devextrem for angular.

  ### 5. Dev Express is a great product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Titus T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2024

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I really like their products, such as DevExtreme, and their support.

Their documentation for their products is excellent. It gives you an insight into how they work and how you should use them. There is plenty of documentation on each, and the UI displaying the documentation is excellent.

Their support is top-notch! They always respond within a day unless they see an issue. Then, they will respond within 2 days with how to proceed. They are very understanding of the questions and do not make you feel bad for asking.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Their controls allow you to do a lot of manual work, but some of the functionality should be automatically put into their controls. Then we have to manually add it in and that can be cumbersome at times.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The support a lot of different controls that we use in our application.

  ### 6. DevExpress makes good software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miles G. | Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DX Support is really good. They almost always get back to me within 24 hours.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Less than before. They are catching up with their feature set which is great!

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide a Blazor toolset that makes it easier to produce high quality forms and reports.

  ### 7. Developer experience after more than 5 years of using DevExpress components

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan M. | Geschäftsführer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

We needed a comprehensive widget set for our BISS/CAIGO application. After an intensive evaluation of several frameworks we decided to go for DevExpress and after several years of developemt we can definitely say that it was the right decision. We are using the Javascript widget set together with jQuery. The widget set and its functionality are very complete, feature rich and offer a very good UX out-of-the-box. The widgets are extremely flexible when it comes to customizing and adapting the functionality to our sometimes very special needs.

There is an extensive, well structured documentation with many useful examples. You have to get a bit used to the approach, how the components work but once you have mastered that, it is very concise and straight forward.

The components are very ease to integrate,

DevExpress offers an excellent support with very fast turnaround times and competent answers. Absolutely worth the money.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

If there is something that we think could be a problem in certain scenarios, then it is the fact that the widgets have a pretty large "DOM footprint" (i.e. consist of many nested - mostly div - elements). Thus creating a large number of widgets on a page may slow down the browser a bit. BISS/CAIGO offers a window mode, similar to the OS desktop approach and creating many windows with a large amount of controls in each of them sometimes may lead to sluggisch browser reactions. But that's the only complaint we have so far and we are using DevExpress controls now for more that 5 years.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With DevExpress we have a comprehensive and stable widget set that solves almost all of our needs. And if something is missing, we have the possibility to customize the controls via specific functions. This greatly accelerates the development process.

  ### 8. DevExpress addresses our reporting requirements for our engineering application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

We have a need to create nicely formatted reports for our engineering application. Most reporting toolkits are heavily biased towards database connections as their source of data. While DevExpress also has a bias in that direction (presumably because that is the majority of their customer base) it easily allows integration with business objects as the source of data, making it very useful in our application. As a developer, two of the nicest aspects of the tool is (a) ultimately you can always bypass the automated ways of creating a report and write code that dynamically creates/interacts with the report and (b) the technical support is excellent. This includes both their knowledge base of past questions as well as direct contact with the support team. I've yet to ask a question that they couldn't answer.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

The only negative aspect I have encountered with DevExpress is that the libraries are a bit "heavy" in the sense that when we create a report in our application, the JIT compiling takes a fair bit of time for the first report. Subsequent reports in the same session are virtually instantaneous. There are ways to embed pre-compiled versions of their libraries in the code, but so far I have not found that to be especially convenient. But overall this is a relatively minor negative.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly by meeting our reporting requirements for our desktop engineering application but also to a lesser extent the custom UI controls needed.

  ### 9. Great controls and even better support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Massimiliano M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Controls are easy to use and with many functionalities.
You can mangle everything with just few experience and they are consistent among diffrente types of controls, so you'll find similar approaches even on new controls.
What I like most is the support. DevExpress support is top notch. Always ready to help reviewing your code and suggesting code snippets or workaround. Is like having a human coder by your side with total knowledge of the controls (and the language/framework you use) ready to help spot bug or explain how to do things even out of the ordinary.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing to dislike after more than 10 years with their stuff in my web apps.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mistakes in code I do and general knowledge of their controls.

  ### 10. Very user friendly controls with great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2024

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The controls are extremely flexible, the documentation is extensive and generally you can easily find what you're looking for. When you get stuck the support is fast and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing is perfect but I cannot think of any significant downsides to the products

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have options for all of the area we develop in from our legacy system to the web and mobile development, back end APIs and reporting and dashboards.

  ### 11. Absolutely wonderful Developer Experience so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivaram R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The flexibility to show, update and delete data from the table. Generally the tables only promote single entry editing, whereas the tables in DevExpress, Datagrids help in batch mode editing as well as row mode editing. The custom store also helps in further control over the data in each step of the process in update or delete operations.
The custom confirmation pop up of higher order function is an absolute developer's wish come true. We as developers now don't have to create multiple pop ups, just give in the options as needed and you can easily get the confirmation pop up.
TreeView/TreeList to show branching hierarchy is solving most of the developer's nightmare of branching data one inside other, just define the data properly and table takes care of everything, absolute blessing it seems.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

At some places, the grids seem to be in vintage styling unlike other libraries that offer modern designs. But I see this is changing and also we developers see DevExpress more as a functionality supporting library making the developer experience easy and fulfilling any type of user requirements over a gimmick to attract people in first sight through designs.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Devexpress is solving data inserting, updating and deleting through tables/datagrid/treelist easy, as well as is highly seen efficient and not triggering unwanted re renders. This is highly efficient and helping user and developer experience and overall performance of our application.

  ### 12. Systemdeveloper for many years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikael K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I use Devexpress Winform and Office File API. Both sets are almost complete, especially Winforms. We sell software to industry where Windows is the operating system of choice. There is absolutely no reason to switch to any other type of development stack that doesn't even come close to Winform's completeness.

The support you get from Devexpress is world class. You not only get links to documentation, but they spend time coding working examples based on your own questions. You usually get an answer within 24 hours.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is actually nothing to point out as negative about Devexpress.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Devexpress, we build modern applications. All controls are also lightning fast. Our customers appreciate both fast and stylish applications. We cannot achieve this with other standard controls.

  ### 13. Great product with excellent customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yongwoo H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2024

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

We're using XAF to build our products. The DevExpress support is quick to answer my questions and help me solve the problems I am having.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Making apps using XAF has a big learning curve.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The XAF platfrom makes development faster with better components.

  ### 14. Powerful components, but most of all powerful framework

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DevExpress provides a full suite to simplify the development of business applications. Developers can focus on business implementations make any implementation faster, since the suite provides all typical functionalities that an enterprise application requires (reporting, Office API, etc...).
What else? Documentation level: excellent. Technical support: excellent.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing to dislike but the review requires also this field.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of the typical functionalities required by a business are addressed by DevExpress (PDF print, reporting, etc...).

  ### 15. Fantastic products, fantastic service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romeo P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Search the KB allows me to find solutions to issues most of the time. They are very good at answering your tickets as well.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Some of my suggestions for improvements have not been implemented.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use their VCL component packages. So it is like they are writting some of my code for me.

  ### 16. Great Controls for Windows (Desktop) with great support to developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonatas H. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Regarding their components, they make good design decisions (both user interface and API for developers). The support team is always very helpful and documentation is very broad.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

In some new/vanguard technologies (e.g. Blazor), DevExpress uses to lack behind at the beggining if compared to other providers - I think this is a team's decision to focus in an more ideal implementations before shipping solutions to these technologies. I think that recently the new releases have lower new features that used to be in the past.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pre-built user components loaded with features we couldn't address in our own, such as Grids (with filtering, grouping, summarizing), reports, report designer (for end-user customization), Pivot/OLAP tables, expression engine (for formulas calculations), form skinning.

  ### 17. More than 10 years using it. Still amazed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julien A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Has a huge range of user friendly features.
Very good documentation and tutorials
Excellent support

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

its price.
after using it, you rely on it. A lot. Maybe too much.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having user interfaces working quickly and efficicently. Generating documents.

  ### 18. Great solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rene A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Its a great product with tons of controls.
It's constantly improving at a fast pace right with current technology.
Support is the best, always having a fast and correct response from their team.
What's not to like ?

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I don't really have anything negative to say. Yeah sometimes there's bugs bug its usually fixed in order. Maybe core components aren't yet perfect, but then again, core itself is changing fast so its to be expecetd.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast developing and great looking solution.

  ### 19. Support provided is worth the price of the tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I have been using the DevExpress tools for almost 20 years. They shorten the process of taking an idea to a finished product. Most of the time, you can find an example on the support site that is exactly what you are trying to accomplish. If you can't locate an example, you can contact support with what your need and they will point you to an example or write some sample code.

The support itself is worth the cost of the tool.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about the DevExpress suite of tools. When working with departments at work, I like to say "if you can imagine it, I can code it" even before I know how to do it.

I am confident that I can configure the ask to work with the development tools.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tools can be applied to solve most business processes right out of the box, but they can be enhanced via some backend code to address all the other custom processes. I haven't come across anything that couldn't be overcome without some thought and possibly a support ticket.

  ### 20. Outstanding product and off the charts tech support. Coming from a 20 year customer.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew M. | Principals in development of Corebot platform, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Best 3rd party software components out there. And they have never once not followed through on helping me solve an issue. (honestly dont know how their tech support does it with the speed they respond and their depth of knowledge of a very sophisticated stack). Coming from 20 year user of DevEx components.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

The number of components and capabilities of the components and implementing has made for a higher leaning curve than it used to be. At the end of the day still well worht it.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has powerful drag and drop components that many times dont need any coding to implement.

  ### 21. Best in the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sayooj S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I have been using Devexpress for more than a year now and I use it in almost all my projects and never have I ever thought of changing them. They are the best in class components with a very good documentation. Customer support is quick and it is very easy to implement and to integrate. Also the performance of the components is very good. They actually saves me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I dont think there is anything to dislike about.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data visualization

  ### 22. Excellent software with exceptional support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elroy E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I find the API to be reasonably intuitive and well-designed.

Excellent documentation and support service.

I have been using this for 16 years, and have no complaint.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing really, other than I have to play with properties on graphics a lot to get what I want. That may be more a problem witn me not reading the documentation.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the controls in multiple large windows desktop applications. We use the winforms reporting extensively, and like it very much. They have the best grid in the industry, and very extensive documentation.

  ### 23. Very good components for web app development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren M. | Director Of Information Communication Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Probably the ease of use. Once you understand how the cshtml integrates with controllers and the database etc. they are very easy to use. It has taken hours out of having to code due to their controls taking some of the load off. Well worth the money.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Probably the thing that I find hardest is finding real world examples in the documentation. That said their documentation is extremely extensive but I have struggled to find what I need sometimes.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it in a school environment and it is allowing the school to code web apps that have reduced manual workload by around 75%. It has also helped the ICT department through simplifying tasks.

  ### 24. Beautiful, user friendly UI controls

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

ExpressApp Framework is amazing. We can create feature rich back-office/line of business applications for desktop and/or web with very little code. Support has been outstanding.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Roadmap and timelines are not always clear and can be difficult to determine the best time to adopt new controls targeting new platforms/architectures. Feature parity/comparisons between platforms are not always easy to determine.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides reliable, consistent UI development. Provides professional grade user experiences. Highly customizable.

  ### 25. I am happy to switch from Te**** to DevExpress

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The support from DevExpress is quick and helpful

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

It wil be great if the DevExtreme can include a more powerful HTML Editor

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DevExpress to build the UI and reports in developing my products.

  ### 26. Great support for me, and Great User experience for my customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sid Ahmed A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I've been a DevExpress user for almost 13 years now, I love the time I save when using the provided tools. The support team is very helpful, and quick. And the most important for me, my customers love the UI and its features.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Not encountering any downsides for now realy.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress offers UI Library (controls) that help us as developers delivering the best quality of software, with less time spent. Letting us focusing on solving the business problem.

  ### 27. Great suite of applications, great team

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

They have a product to almost all development needs, features rich, and their support is very efficient suggesting solutions and providing sample codes.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is nothing I dislike about DevExpress products or team.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time of development. Integrating DevExpress in our product accelarated the development on our side and allowed us to focus our dev efforts on tailoring our products to the needs of our customers

  ### 28. Boosting efficiency in daily work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josip P. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Very intuitive, documentedy and easy to use. Contains all what you need for making greate applications. The best ratio of invested money and what you get for.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

At the moment hard to say. I'm using it since 2014 and I wouldn't using it so long if it is not good. Only what is missing is maybe community edition.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This RAD components allows me to speed up my work and saves time on way to not "reinvent the wheel" and less headaches regarding bugs. Applications looks very professional and and efficient.

  ### 29. Using different DevExpress products for more than ten years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The datagrid is in my opinion outstanding and the helpdesk saves a lot of time

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I would appreciate a SPA template with the DevExtreme components

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Letting Endusers query large amount of data in a very flexible way is a key issue in our applications. This is solved beautifully using the different versions of datagrid and pivottables.

  ### 30. Great compnents and framework for fast development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jian X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I don't have any option for dislike.Because devexpress support many help.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use devExpress to do some report in .net framework.
We use devExtreme to implement our web system fastly.

  ### 31. Best support in the business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

While I use their awesome tools for C# wpf development, and they save me hours and hours of time, the really outstanding aspect of DevExpress is the support they provide. Responses to questions are always very thorough and typically include a code snippet they wrote to illustrate the solution. In many cases they provide a zipped project to illustrate the solution. Occasionally I have even received a video illustrating how to proceed! Who else does that?

My favorite tool is the DataGrid/GridControl but another time saver is the Report Designer (especially when doing labels.) The theme manager works well with fewer idiosyncracies than Microsoft themed controls. Upgrades from one version to the next is pretty painless so you can keep up to date.

After 10 years with this product I would not consider development without it.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is a boatload of .dlls but that has more to do with Microsoft's architectural vision than DevExpress itself.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a developer my goal is getting useful product to the end-user and DevExpress enables that by getting me out of some of the low level technical details and focusing on business functionality.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Not really that much, becoming spoiled is the greatest risk.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating the ability to produce modern looking software for various platforms with ease nd significantly reducing time needed to implement features (and thus costs).

Quality Components that look consistant. New features are always being added.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Some of the examples add a lot of div tags and CSS. The main reason I like DevExpress is so I don't have to worry about CSS.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We develop a comercial software product. DevExpress components saves us so much time by not having to reinvent the wheel. We also have a consistant look and feel.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad A. | Senior Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

There are a lot of useful features that I found in DevExpress:

1. You can drag and drop tools for desktop and web pages
2. Data grid is one of the best features in Devexpress, with plenty of options in the data grid.
3. DevExpress Reporting module is by far the best among different software available in the market.
4. Intelli sense provided by DevExpess is also helpful for developers.

and many more benefits...

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing to dislike about the software which is why I am using this for the last ten years but the cost of the product is matters for some companies. Sometime CodeRush makes VisualStudio performance slow. Other then that there is no issue and I would recommend everyone the product.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of problems are solved by DevExpress, first, its tools make the application GUI better rather than using window simple components. Making reports is very easy and almost all the reports templates are available in DevExpress. The main feature is Data Grid, Data Grid makes my life so easy, build in sorting feature, grouping feature, search, pagination, and many more.

  ### 38. Unmatched Product and Support from DevExpress

In summary, DevExpress offers an excellent balance of high-quality product and exceptional customer service. We couldn't be more satisfied with our experience using their solutions and services.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Our experience with DevExpress has been nothing but satisfactory. The anticipation that comes with waiting for their next product updates. ;)

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress is instrumental in swiftly addressing our business's need for various customized system solutions. It is the bridge between our objectives and their execution, offering us the agility and flexibility to adapt and react to our ever-evolving requirements. The benefits are significant - our efficiency is increased, our processes are streamlined, and we can deliver results faster, meeting the expectations of our stakeholders more effectively.

DevExpress has every control for any framework you can imagine. Their data grid is the best and does so much!

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There really is nothing I don't like about DevExpress and its suite of controls. They just do it all!

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Devexpress helps us with our reporting. It allows us to provide robust reporting solutions for our customers.

  ### 40. Excellent Toolkit for ASP.NET Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin S. | Senior Programmer/Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

My favorite part of DevExpress is the enhanced .NET controls they offer. For example, one project I worked on used ASP.NET Web Forms. Using DevExpress controls in place of the default .NET controls made the development of that project significantly faster and easier. Enhanced validation options, easy integration of CSS styling, and the ease of getting values from the controls in JavaScript are just a few of the benefits that made DevExpress controls a big upgrade. I recommend that everyone working with .NET projects give DevExpress a try.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I can only think of one thing that I dislike, which is relatively minor. My dislike centers around the JavaScript libraries necessary for DevExpress components to work. DevExpress offers the option to include necessary JavaScript libraries automatically, but conflicts can occur if you use a different version of any of the libraries on your site. For example, the Web Document Viewer requires knockout.js. The automatic import of that library can conflict with manual integrations of knockout.js. However, this is easy to work around and DevExpress offers excellent documentation and customer service.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress has helped me in various ways. Their .NET controls have helped me with web application development and user experience. Their reporting tools have allowed me to fulfill reporting requirements for several projects.

  ### 41. Very good products and support!

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

A lot of documentation, source code and very good support

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

dont't have a pdf viewer for ASP.net web forms
I would like more controls for ASP.net web forms

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

grid view filtering and export, word and excel editor in browser, document library, and many other products
it will save a lot of work
it will help me to be more productive

  ### 42. Great features, Professional Support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vangelis P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Devexpress-Devextreme Controls have great flexibility and features that have high demand in the BI industry.
Purchasing the Universal subscription (Reports, Dashboard) is the best choice that satisfies every development goal.

Devexpress Support Team is the best money can buy. Thank you, guys.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Documentation sometimes is lacking, especially for ASP .NET CORE development.
It's better to search online for tickets to solve your issues than read the documentation, which is time-consuming in most cases.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of applications written in VB6 windows Forms into ASP .NET CORE.

  ### 43. Excellent Forums and Support staff

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

1.Reporting grid
2. Export feature like PDF, Docx, Image as it involves minimum amount of code.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Some Form UI element, it should be more enhanced from the User interaction perspective.

I had a requirement of generating PDF and DevExpress solved it easily.

  ### 46. Many controls, constantly updated and excellent support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

One of the best features is their support and documentation. Both are top-notch. The library can be difficult sometimes but they are always ready to help

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

As I said in the best part, the library can be difficult sometimes if you want to customize default behaviour. But it's possible and their support is excellent

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It accelerates me a lot while developing. It already has solutions to many typical user scenarios, and you can feel the library has a strong foundation.

  ### 47. Adds massive functionality to application development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Funbox A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

We use DevExpress for WinForms and WebForms. With both products they enhance the functionality of our applications.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Can be hard to figure out the customized JavaScript from time to time, although I generally find the solutions on their support pages.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The DevExpress controls extend the functionality of the standard Microsoft controls by a massive amount. The investment we made on the DevExpress controls is the best money we have spent on development tools by a long shot. Added to this, their support is probably the best in the industry.

  ### 48. Always excellent support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The support provided by the DevExpress team is exceptional. They find a solution for all problems.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There are lots of examples. Possibly a better way to search these examples would make them better to use.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Highly functional components such as reporting and dsahboarding. Also with the full library of components enables consistent components across our application.

  ### 49. Top-tier support, feature-rich products that improve with each release

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DevExpress has always responded within 24 hours to my support requests. In most cases the support agent can point to a simple solution, or when that fails they'll provide sample code and suggestions for working around limitations. The WPF control library covers a wide range of uses, the use of theming provides my applications with a consistent look-and-feel without requiring extensive developer work.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

The documentation can be lacking at times. Newer controls and services sometimes lack good API documentation or sample code, making adoption difficult.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress' WPF control library is intended for developers who need controls not provided by the core framework while maintaining a consistent appearance.

  ### 50. I'd never be without a DevExpress subscription

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

There are so many ready-to-go solutions. Their scheduler suite, a fully functioning spreadsheet and word processor. An enormous selection of controls to suit any purpose. Incredible value for money. Their support is superb.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I use Winforms extensively and would love to switch to JetBrains Rider. Unfortunately this IDE isn't fully supported - e.g. report and form designers don't work as well as they do in Visual Studio.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to develop richly featured software in a fraction of the time that it would otherwise.
