What do you like best about Designer Cloud?

Not a resource hogger. SIts on Hadoop Edge Node, Pushes down and uses Hadoop resources, This is what Business Objects did to databases 20 years ago bringing Hadoop to a self service level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Processing BIG files

- Processing Big Datasets

- Copy paste of SQL from SAS and other Tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UX is market leading. The wrangle time suggestions for next best action make the tool a joy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designer Cloud?

The previous dependency on Hadoop/Spark was an issue for smaller non-Hadoop sites, not an issue now they have migrated to the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Designer Cloud:

Consider if data wrangling should only be part of a BI or DS flow, if the answer is no then ou need a specialist data wrangling tool where Trifacta is the best I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Designer Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Increase data operations productivity. Remove legacy infrastructure (ETL/SAS). Enhance data quality, in particular for regulatory reporting.

Trifacta offers a much lower TCO when compared to SAS/Alteryx at the same time as boosting user productivity by circa 20%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Designer Cloud?

The intelligent recommendations for data wrangling are a huge help and speed up the process. It's really good for repetitive tasks. It's much more powerful than trying to do the same thing through excel macros. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designer Cloud?

Saving and modifying the workflows is awkward. Managing multiple workflows was a little confusing. But I eventually got the hang of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Designer Cloud:

Definitely consider this product for your wrangling needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Designer Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Speeds up the process of cleaning up the data from multiple sources so I can analyze it faster and answer the questions we have. We have a number of APM tools and log analysis solutions. But they can't always manipulate the data in the ways we need to analyze performance data. So we have to pull the data out and analyze it through other means. But it's usually messy, so Trifacta helps immensely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
