Top Rated Designer Cloud Alternatives
Great user interface - being able to visualise the data and go into a Column Details view for an in-depth profile of that variable makes it easy to understand and work with the data. Being able to either use drop-down menus for functions as a new user or to write and copy recipe steps as a more advanced user is great for teams with different levels of experience. The fact the functions heavily mirror Excel functions allows for a lot of skill cross-over. The ability of the system to make suggestions also makes it easy for anyone to use and not have to write extensive formulas. The output of wrangles for audit trails is also great - much clearer language than other systems I have used. The ability to share Flows within the team allows for greater collaboration and quality control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a little tricky trying to find things at first and resources around making reference datasets and such were not as straight forward as other topics. Have also come across a few transformations we need that we cannot seem to find a way to do, but customer support has been great in trying to help out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I teach relational databases and machine learning coursework, and I spend a lot of time in my classes discussing the use of relational algebra and workflows and trying to convince unimpressed students in its importance. Alteryx Designer Cloud incorporates relational algebra operations alongsite a more extensive suite of data management, cleaning, and manipulation tools and organizes them in exactly the same way as we teach. This is a great way to make unsuspecting accountants and marketing folks learn the theory of database management systems, among other things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Designer cloud is limited in its functionality. As Alteryx tools are essentially a shell around the Python libraries like pandas, sklearn, nltk, and so on, I would REALLY love to see a fuller coverage of the functionality provided by those packages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about alteryx is the quick way of learning, in just a few hours using the tool, if you have a little knowledge about ETL, you can understand how it works and this makes you open your mind to discover more and more. It's Passionate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For now, the number of tools is limited, but I know that Alteryx is bringing a lot of good things. We just need to wait Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Designer Cloud is Alteryx next big thing. I really enjoy the flexibility and the connectivity possibilities it offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not to dislike, but there is definitely a learning curve to understand how it works compared to the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since Designer cloud is still new it has alot of growing to do but it still is hitting the ground running Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From the moment I started using Designer Cloud, I was impressed by its intuitive and user-friendly interface. The tool's design is clean, well-organized, and allows for effortless navigation. Even as a newcomer to the application, I found it incredibly easy to learn and quickly adapt to its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn't find any major disadvantage apart from one of the factors. Unlike the desktop version of Alteryx Designer, which allows users to work offline, the cloud version requires a continuous internet connection. This lack of offline functionality can be a disadvantage if we need to work on our projects while traveling, in areas with limited internet access, or during internet outages. It restricts our ability to work on your data analysis tasks without an active internet connection, which can be inconvenient for users who require uninterrupted access to their workflows. Accessibility,Collaborative Features,Automatic Updates, Ease of Use, Cost Savings.Designer Cloud may offer subscription-based pricing models, which can be more cost-effective compared to purchasing and maintaining expensive design software licenses. Users can often choose from different subscription tiers based on their needs, paying only for the features and services they require. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Internet Dependency: Since Designer Cloud operates in the cloud, a stable internet connection is necessary to access and use the software. If the internet connection is slow or unreliable, it can hinder the user's ability to work efficiently or may result in loss of work if the connection drops unexpectedly.
