What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

What I like most about Deltek is how easy it is to use day-to-day. Everything just works the way you expect it to. Finding the information I need, whether it's project details, timesheets, or financials is quick and hassle-free. The layout is clear, and the system runs smoothly without any unnecessary complexity. It’s efficient and helps me get things done without wasting time clicking through endless menus or dealing with slow load times. I’ve used other systems in the past that felt clunky and hard to navigate, but Deltek is the opposite, it feels modern and well thought out. It’s made managing projects much more straightforward and has definitely improved how we work as a team. I don’t have to chase information anymore; it’s all there, right when I need it. That kind of reliability makes a big difference in a busy work environment. It is also really easy to integrate between our other products such as the API connection to Power BI. Everyone in our organisation goes through Deltek PIM meaning the frequency of use is extremely high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?

While Deltek has a lot of great features, one thing I find frustrating is how admin-heavy it can be at times. There are a lot of steps involved in some of the processes, and it can feel a bit time-consuming when you're trying to get through routine tasks quickly. Some areas of the system require quite a bit of manual input, which adds to the workload, especially when you're dealing with tight deadlines. I understand the need for detail and structure, but it would be great if some of the admin side could be simplified or automated a bit more. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does slow things down and can be a bit frustrating when you're juggling multiple projects. A more streamlined approach to some of the day-to-day functions would really improve the overall experience and make Deltek feel as efficient as it promises to be. Deltek is helping solve a number of challenges we used to face, particularly around efficiency and consistency in project management. Before using it, we struggled with scattered information, slow processes, and tools that weren’t intuitive or easy for new team members to pick up. Deltek has really changed that, it brings everything into one place and keeps things running smoothly. It’s easy to integrate with other systems we use, which reduces duplication of work and helps everything flow better. One of the biggest advantages is how user-friendly it is. People can get up to speed quickly without a long learning curve, which saves time and resources. Overall, Deltek has made project tracking, reporting, and collaboration more efficient and reliable. It’s helped reduce the admin burden, improved visibility across teams, and ultimately made my day-to-day work easier and more productive. It’s a system that genuinely benefits our whole workflow. What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

We use Deltek for managing our project records, including having one place for correspondence accessible to the project team. These documents can be updated and organised with history and drawing management with searchable keywords that allow our teams on-site to find drawings faster.

There are buildable features that we can tailor to meet our processes, data searches that can be run, removing the manual report building and tools like actions and subscriptions to relieve the email traffic internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?

Sometimes it isn't easy to understand what the system can do unless you have an unlimited budget for consultant time. The learning zone is primary and lacks videos to show what can be done; the security side of the system is quite complex and could be a little easier to understand.

Opportunity Management: being able to log all sales leads and add actions for activity on key accounts that are reportable.

Control of enquiries that are logged on a profile and have fields that follow the project's life cycle, including areas completed for business reporting and trend management.

Drawing version control and searchable drawings by keywords help on-site when looking for details or part numbers.

Project record management, showing the internal team active on the project and external organisations connected to the project, building a history on our supply chain profiles.

All project correspondence is published to the enquiry/project profile so accessible to the project team and not hidden away in personal inboxes.

What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

Deltek PIM has been a very successful product for our small architecture firm. It is our one source of truth for all information and files relating to our projects and beyond, and provides us with accurate and relevant financial information on the performance of our projects. The interface is fairly intuitive and most users require minimal training to get the hang of it. The products continue to improve and are available to suit our needs. What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?

There are some elements that are a little outdated and can be fairly rigid, which can be difficult to get users to adopt fully if they don't see the point or benefits.
