"Awesome DB product!"
5/5
What do you like best about DbVisualizer?

The basics are all there plus incredibly powerful tools. Setting up or copying connections is incredibly easy. My favorite feature is the editor templates, which have allowed me to automate all the steps in common admin tasks. Relationship diagrams/lists for complex interactions have been extremely helpful. I love being able to type now into a field and get a timestamp. The features for selecting, copying and exporting are very user friendly. Great documentation. DbVis support is top notch! I always get a response in less than 24 hours, and they know their product inside out. Setting up connections are extremely simple, and it is easy to move between different types of databases, integrating scripts. I use it every day. Happy camper. What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

Formatting everything in a query after FROM with () and ` characters. I always have to edit/replace because they make it difficult for me to read/edit the query. Same for the DDL. In the data grid, it is somewhat of a pain to have to change the ID column to (null) when you copy a record, but that may be a function of the MySql/MariaDB. "Easy to Learn, Seamless Database Integration, and Great SQL History"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DbVisualizer?

The platform is very easy to learn and use. It integrates seamlessly with a wide variety of databases, without needing to download separate files just to ensure connections. We use DbVisualizer every day to better understand our data repositories and to build meaningful data tables that can then be used in other platforms for end users. There are plenty of customisation options available, which means less time spent reworking data and scripts to make everything fit for purpose. The SQL history feature is also great: I keep the 300 most recent entries visible, and the summary for each query makes it easy to quickly find the one I’m looking for. What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

There isn’t much to dislike; the only thing I can think of is one small frustration. If I have a window open—say, the Data Monitor—and then open the SQL History window, the Data Monitor closes. It would be better to be able to keep multiple windows open at the same time, so Data Monitor, SQL History, Tool Properties, etc. can all stay open together. It makes accessing tables in our complex environment both quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

Some of the features are tempting but I have not figured them out yet. Once I do I should be able to take greater advantage of the visual components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for Beginners—Intuitive and Easy to Use"
5/5
What do you like best about DbVisualizer?

As someone new to coding and SQL, DbVisualizer was easy to get started with locally before connecting to our prod DB. It's straightforward to get started (easy to implement) and there are a good number of "tools" that help if you don't want to do it all in code. For instance managing tables, importing data etc. It's also very easy to understand the details/information about each table etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

Lacking in some automcomplete and query support tools. The error messages are helpful, but if there was better autocomplete and suggested resolutions for errors that would save me some time from consulting claude or chatgpt.d Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Connection Grouping and Workspaces"
5/5
What do you like best about DbVisualizer?

It's extremely easy to use, group db connections, and use the workspace feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

Reordering tabs! When I have a lot of tabs open, I'd like to be able reorder them easier. A nice feature in the dropdown list of tabs/open objects would be drag and drop reordering.

Also, coloring/theming is a pain in the butt. I want to *easily* change colors of various UI elements to reflect dev/staging/prod databases. It's not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Database Tool with Intuitive Interface and Robust Data Handling"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DbVisualizer?

It has many drivers that interact with a plethora of different database types out of the box. Also the user interface is clean, intuitive and not once do I have the impression that I need an excessive amount of clicks to achieve what I want. Also the various formats for exporting and importing data are robust and error-resistent, also the behavior is stable when using slow internet connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

The application performs slower than I am used to, possibly due to the Java-Runtime. Also sometimes the application reports that it is in an unstable state and a restart is recommended, although I do not notice any degradation of performance or apparents errors. Perhaps this would only affect functions, which I am not using at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
