I've been using dbForge for SQL Server since starting my business in 2007, and it has become an irreplaceable asset for my everyday database management needs. Working with databases can be complex and time-consuming, but dbForge makes the process remarkably more efficient. The tool's comprehensive suite of features is a game-changer, offering everything I need in one robust solution.
One of the standout features of the Enterprise version is its seamless integration with version control systems like Git. This allows me to manage and track changes effortlessly, maintaining control over database iterations without any headaches. Moreover, the ability to compare database schemas and data is invaluable for ensuring consistency and accuracy across different environments. Schema comparison makes versioning reliable, while data comparison helps in verifying updates or synchronizing environments.
The user interface is intuitive, making it accessible even for those newer to SQL Server while providing the depth needed for seasoned professionals. The tool's stability and powerful automation features have saved me countless hours, transforming complex tasks into streamlined processes.
In short, dbForge for SQL Server has become a core part of my workflow. I highly recommend it to anyone working with SQL Server databases, as it delivers reliability, control, and efficiency that’s hard to match. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a long time user of SSMS, I was looking for addons for it to help me with my tasks. I tried Studio for SQL Server and found it easier to maintain instead of SSMS with multiple addons. It has a lot of nice tools integrated into it such as code completion with formatting, good import/export functions, etc. I like the dark mode as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has bugs. Plenty of those. I've reported them and some of them have been resolved, so they do listen for feedback, which is nice. And it seems that it should work better with a SQL Server instead of the Azure SQL databases I'm using it with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ease of use of the software. It's very intuitive. I like being able to download a formatted export such as Excel. I also like the ease of switching connections while using the same tabbed query. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What is least helpful for me is that while I can export a formatted Excel file, the ability to change and save the default settings is not present. For example, changing and saving the font and size as a default. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been working with dbForge Studio for SQL (and MySQL) for several years now in varying versions and levels and it is a most reliable and spectacular product and essential to my business. One of my primary services is database conversions from and into other database systems (Mostly CRM) and the feature set for building visual queries and the superb Export features are the most valued feature for me. I work in this and several Devart products daily and could not do my job without them. The support team is excellent always responding timely and with the right infomration. Installling and updating is simple and implementation is a breeze. I highly recommend these products to my fellow IT relationships and customers who have enough skills to leverage the product. I can't say I dislike anything except maybe the amount of solicitation i receive months before a subscription or perpetual on subscription is going to lapse. I have many of the Devart tools nd its a little time consuming becasue i have to anser them or they just keep email me. I like everyne I have dealt with however, and as yet, there is not anything in this product i would change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many of the features like code snippets really save time and drive consistency in coding. Simple things, like having a windows "toast" popup when a long running query has completed means you don't have to keep returning to check! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Apart from the fact it's not free, I can't think of any! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having used may other competing tools on the marke, dbForge takes the cake in terms of its intuitive interface, power packed features, sophisticated yet easy to use IDE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
dbForge (for SQL Server) needs to come up to the SSMS level of functionalities, particularly in the area of Job management, scheduling, and the multitude of the features & option available to ETL developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's interface (Graphical User Interface) is easy to understand and user friendly. It allows to login to different databases parallelly and work on them. It's error detection and auto correction feature is very helpful which saves lot of time for debugging. Hence it is easy to implement and the frequency of use or performance is also very nice compared to other database management systems. The support they provide is also highly appreciative and worth mentioning. Overall the experience with dbforge studio is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No major issues I can think of using this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is no filter for databases at the server level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

dbForge Studio for SQL Server has great database building and data import/export tools that far exceed those of SSMS. The user interface is familiar, but improved on other tools I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only minor complete I have is the seeming lack of coherent sorting of import scripts in the data import window. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
