The autocomplete function allows you to write sql and pl/sql code quickly. Furthermore, it is very easy to create and maintain tables and views with the help of the ER graphical interface. Another great feature of the professional version is the schema and data comparison. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using dbForge Studio for Oracle for over a year now. It is a unique tool, easy, versatile and very easy to use. I use it in my DBA work every day, it is a pleasure to use and extremely rich in options. I highly recommend it, it is an impressive and versatile product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no regrets, for my is pure gold in every aspect I need! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great set of features and a good and intuitive user interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't think of much that I dislike. But the data comparison feature would be more useful for me if it could focus on comparing just two tables or views instead of always starting by assuming that I will be comparing two whole schemas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the best IDE for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development. Easy DB connection management, query auto completion, extracting the output in various formats like, csv, excel or SQL. dbForge provides convenient GUI to manage database objects like tables, views, procedures, functions etc. For DBAs, it provides features like session monitoring, and data export/Import. It's very fast compared to the OracleSQL developer tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Licensing cost is higher compared to other similar products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

dbForge is an excellent tool to bind our SQL statements with the help of bind variable executions. It gives us multiple operations that explicitly merges our bitmaps obtained from our indices scanning. During data block overhead, it stores metadata for managing our block header, table directories, and record directories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its cache recovery is beneficial for our database instance recovery. All our committed and non-committed changes are updated in our logs which can be retrieved for further analysis. Overall, the dislike about dbForge, which manages our Oracle databases, is none. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A lot of valuable functions, good UI. Way better functionality compared to other similar tools that I have verified before buying DEVART product. Master/Detail browser helps for various in place analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not natural keyboard shortcuts for developers (especially Comment/Uncomment). Slow listing of database objects (when I have ~10000 packages and ~16000 views in DB). Docked windows management in UI is outdated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All I need in one place. The same environment for different database engine (using Oracle and MySQL) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Notting important. Only thing is search result window appearing after every search/replace and changing my workspace. I don't use this window so often and I have to close it manually every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
dbForge Studio for Oracle is a super powerful tool that allows you to integrate development environments helping Oracle SQL developers to improve and increase the speed when coding in PL / SQL, it provides us with editing tools to manage data, both internal as external. It gives us the option of keeping the data synchronized between different Oracle servers and with this we manage to automate the change management process of the application schemas, while the development lasts. Improve connection manager. Visually confusions can be generated due to the location of some of the options, mainly when you configure the TNS.
It would be very useful if in all the screens you can see the number of lines or total registers of the program; sometimes this number can be seen in a tab, where the table definition is, but it is not always visible.
There is no direct access to the Oracle Recycle BIN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a MSSQL developer, I have become accustomed to how SMS works. I have used dbForge for MySQL for years which mimics that UI. When I was tasked with developing an Oracle project, there is nowhere else I would turn to! This UI made it extremely easy to transition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not cure if this is dbForge issue or Oracle because of my limited knowledge of Oracle, but When I try to stop an executing stored procedure, it take a long time and I end up having to kill the session. As the cloud becomes more popular, I would also like to see options that support cloud databases. For example, to kill a session on an Amazon RDS Oracle server, I have to execute Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Clean and simple user interface. Robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Debugger did not provide access to indexed variables. But this is the same for most tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
dbForge Studio for Oracle has all it needs for serious DB development. We use this tool instead of the standart oracle sqldeveloper, because its more intuitive and a lot easier to use. Also the featureset is amazing, providing all neccecary tools for database development and database management. All in all it saves us a lot of time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much I dislike - sometime the startup time is a bit slow, but thats not really an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
