The user interface is very intuitive and easy to get up and running even for someone who is completely new to the Dbeaver application. Supports opening multiple query script files side by side and even connected to multiple databases at the same time. The commit mode can be set to Auto or manual modes. Easy access buttons to disconnect or reconnect to a database. One can even configure the maximum result set size so that the database connection doesn't hang up if the result of a query was too big to process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The community edition does not support certain databases such as Apache Cassandra and MongoDB which is a big bummer when considering DBeaver as a default database management and interaction tool. Toolbar icons are not intuitive of their purpose. For example, the icon to execute the current SQL script/ query is not easy to guess from the toolbar unless you hover on top of it when you see the tooltip. The best thing about dbeaver as a tool is how complete it is. Besides the fact that it is multiplatform. In my case I usually work on Linux, but sometimes I have to work on Windows. I can export my configurations and connections and have them updated on both platforms. On the other hand it has the ability to customize the results that is highly visual, besides allowing fast navigation between relational tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps the design has become a bit outdated. It should start introducing AI in queries and results, as other tools are starting to do. This could provide a bonus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about it is how easy it makes the job of connecting to hosted databases. With dbeaver, there is no need to individually forward the port from cmd again and again for each and every service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing i dislike about it is the connection keeps breaking every 1 mintue if left idel. I use postgres and if no wuery has been made, it disconnect the forwarded port Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DBeaver is an IDE specifically for writing database queries but it does so much more. The fact that it is free makes is all the more amazing. The installation process is pretty straight forward and one can easily get in and start using it.
