Top Rated datapine Alternatives

I was impressed with the ease of use, analytical features as well as creating dashboards to present my work to our non-technical colleagues. In the past years, I have encountered numerous tools and datapine is one of my top choices simply because their user interface is clean, but the software power enormous. I was especially impressed with their predictive analytics features where you need to simply insert required data points, and the tool will generate a prediction with a selected confidence interval. Up until now, I haven’t seen many tools that made that feature so easy (literally, all I need is a few clicks). Also, the SQL box enables me to write my own code, and if I want a visual interface, I can quickly switch between modes.
Additionally, conditional formatting, numerous filters, and the interactivity level of the dashboards, from drill-downs (my favorite) to widgets and chart zoom, always manage to impress me since I can build data scenarios quickly as long as I connect my preferred data source.
The analytical power is undoubtedly one of the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I hope their analytical features will continue to evolve as it would be good to have other languages included such as R, not just SQL. I would love to see more statistical possibilities, for example, factor, or cluster analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, I believe datapine is a great solution. They have a range of functionalities that have made our lives way easier in many aspects. That said, I think the predictive analytics feature has been the most valuable for us. This module of the tool is very easy to use and it proves to be highly valuable when it comes to budgeting as we can identify trends and relationships in the data and make decisions based on that. It is also quite helpful in identifying potential risks and loss drivers so we can prepare for them in advance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, we’ve really enjoyed using the tool and have not encountered many issues. If I have to say something, there could be more support material on how to generate mobile dashboards. Although to be fair, their support team is always available to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I especially appreciated the fact that I can run advanced SQL queries and visualize them really easily. Their dashboards are very intuitive and fast to generate, and they offer several charting options. We need to visualize a lot of complex data on a daily basis, so being able to add a secondary axis or mix different chart types into one was a prime benefit from using datapine. Their trial period is kind of short considering that we are a big team and we needed to test every feature carefully before investing in the tool. However, their customer service team immediately extended our trial period when we asked them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I especially appreciate how intuitive the tool is. Anyone in my team is able to create dashboards really fast and use them as support for several meetings. They also provide quite a few templates that make it even easier to generate reports. It has definitely made our work more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their SQL box is still too advanced for most of our non-technical users; however, we get along fine without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Generally speaking, datapine has been an optimal solution to deal with the development of large projects. Data sources related to suppliers, budgets, scheduling, and performance can easily be connected and then displayed with dashboards that are quite easy to create. Although the tool is pretty straightforward to use, they do offer some advanced features for more technical users that we couldn’t explore so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Working as a commercial buyer for an FMCG company means I have to be constantly monitoring the performance of several stores. For this reason, I was looking for a solution that would automate the process so I could have more time to focus on the other part of my job, and that’s exactly what I found with this tool. datapine has data connectors that allowed us to get all our internal and external sources of information in one place. With just a few clicks the heavy workload was done automatically and we had real-time data to start working with.
The tool also includes predictive analytics features that are fairly easy to use. Being able to predict trends and future outcomes, like product demands on each store, changed the way we deal with inventories and production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some advanced features are a bit overwhelming at the beginning for non-technical users. For example, some people in my team struggled with custom fields for advanced charts or the SQL mode. Nevertheless, they offer several tutorials on their site so you can learn to use the tool in detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I particularly enjoyed the fact that the tool gives you full control over your dashboard’s design thanks to white labeling features. This allowed my team to create specific dashboards for each brand with its logo and color scheme, making them look way more professional. I also really enjoyed the different sharing options that the software offers. You can share your reports with a live URL with different viewing or editing rights, this way you choose what information each of the recipients is allowed to see or change. The 14-days trial is okay to test the software features but not enough to see if implementing the tool brings benefits to the company. However, they are willing to extend it if need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite thing about the tool is its user-friendly interface. It enabled everyone in my company to start working with the data available and significantly reduced the risks of errors. The dashboards are easy to create and they offer a wide range of simple and advanced chart options to visualize our most important KPIs in the best way possible. I was especially impressed with the predictive analytics feature. I just had to insert the required data points and the tool was able to predict future outcomes in my data with neural networks technology, something that I haven’t seen in many tools so far. Even though the tool is straightforward and easy to use. They could offer more tutorials for advanced features such as SQL coding so that the less experienced users can familiarize themselves with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From a CTO perspective, datapine enabled us to store and unify all our data in one central place (cloud) and have access to advanced analytics at any time (SaaS BI). They do offer also an on-premise solution, but we opt for SaaS and we were extremely satisfied regarding the reliability and query speed. The centralized location enabled us to access our data from anywhere. As we have fairly large datasets we need to work with, datapine offered us a fast connection to our internal and external data sources and we weren’t disappointed. The heavy workload is done automatically, and the tool can comfortably handle enormous amounts of data. We could easily utilize their connectors and integrate any kind of data source. Now we have one software that handles and streamlines all our data management requirements, including departmental management, from finances to sales. From a management perspective, it definitely saved us a lot of time and enabled us to handle all our data from a single place. This centralized approach enabled everyone to access the data, build KPIs and dashboards as well as reports on our own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some members of our team needed more time to get acquainted with the product so I would prefer more tutorials and detailed Q&As. Their customer service is very good, but more materials that we could use internally would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The possibility to create advanced visualizations and dashboards for all my marketing data without
restrictions. I can simply connect my data sources and create as many charts and dashboards as I
need, whether on an ad hoc or strategic basis. I can assign viewers and share my reports with
anyone who needs to get the information and automate the whole process, if needed. They have
great dashboard templates, which make it quite easy to build professional KPI dashboards. You also
get auto-generated dashboards, for example when you connect your google analytics or twitter via
API. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use so I like it as a marketing analytics solution that
really delivers on what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this point, the only thing I don’t really like is the advanced SQL mode. There you can write
manually SQL queries, what can be quite a challenging without in-dept SQL skills. However, until
know I was able to make all needed analyses using the drag and drop interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’m amazed by the automation features. I can track the financial performance on a detailed client level, accompanied with great visuals and automation possibilities that saved me numerous working hours. All the relevant metrics I compiled into a single interface and I have a clear overview of the development as well as potential issues before they occur. If I need to customize your tracking, the simple drag-and-drop works great. I am also a fan of their intelligent alerts, especially of the neural network algorithm. Somehow, a 14-day free trial is standard for most SaaS tools. However, especially for enterprises this trial period is too short. There are too many decision makers involved. Luckily, on request, they extended our trial period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
