Apollo was looking for a solution which allowed us to manage price scraping by competitors as well as flooding our lead funnel with fake leads. DataDome has solved both of these problems for us and is running without any manual touch or overhead for us. Bot Management is its core competency which it is doing well, while many other players added it as a add on to there full stack security platform - and aggresively sell you on their full stack security platform, which adds a lot of more cost, overhead and complexity. The core product offering is extremely solid and just gets to work blocking bots in the background without you having to worry about it. Account management and technical support are both extremely good and responsive. DataDome has been super helpful in identifying and blocking bot activity on our site. Datadome offers strong protection against bots and scripted attacks, with a set-it-and-forget-it approach that optimizes detection rules automaticlaly.

It's also easy to integrate and configure, with official libraries for almost any back-end framework.

The dashboard offers lots of insight into what traffic is hitting your domain, and offers a lot of customizability in terms of protection, including which captcha providers you want to use, custom rulesets, etc.

Our site receives a lot of irregular traffic, with spikes and troughs in user numbers. However, Datadome doesn't really allow for this type of traffic in their pricing model, relying on a set number of requests/month and then charging overages, rather than offering a more flexible pay-as-you-consume model. I think the dashboards/explore tools could use some love on the performance side of things. I would also love to be able dive deeper into the Captcha funnel charts. What I like best about DataDome is its quick integration and deployment; we were able to realise the benefits and savings very quickly in terms of protecting our site from bot traffic, saving cost on bandwidth and also clearing up our analytics by preventing all the noise from bot activity.
