I really like that Cvent Event Diagramming can actually measure spacing and sizing of rooms, tables, chairs, etc. It is easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cvent Event Diagramming is an additional product add on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that the diagrams can easily be shared and manipulated by multiple team members. This makes preparing for our events a breeze. Additionally, the platform is intuitive and allows us to pay attention to spacing protocols, particularly in a post-pandemic world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't run into any issues with the platform. However, I think it would be great if it could be pre-programmed with dimensions and door placement of popular spaces, or prepared by the venues themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is so easy to use and navigate. The ease of sharing diagrams with customers and our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have not found a problem with diagramming at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing really the more I use it the more that I learn Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does a great job diagramming events for a venue like ours that needs to draw client/planner expectations out for client review and our Ops crew to set. It's clean, clear, and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Getting floor plans built is a burden. Since they won't import CAD files, they trace on top of PDFs which leaves lots of room for error. We also have needed to add/change space and newer ST reps can really rack up charges for these services. Since Cvent acquired them, they have also severely lacked in updates. The changes that have happened leave out key details that make certain functions harder and glitches tend to go unfixed. They also killed mobile diagramming on tablets/phones that the legacy version had which is very frustrating for venues that would like to diagram while on walkthroughs with clients. There are things that have always needed improvements too such as better shapes to denote some items that are hard to discern, wall heights in 3D being accurate, importing/creating your own shapes with a little more detail, and other general things that real CAD software tends to do better that I'd always hoped would see improvement but have largely not changed at all since they were a start-up. Cvent serves as an effective event management software site. It is beneficial for venue reviewing and locating other event options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the fees associated and that some of the venues offered do not seek our more local needs. We have needed to use it conjunction with other sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love being able to visually see how I can fit our event in the space the best way for our attendees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing about the program itself. Price of upgrading membership I would say. I work for a small business, so I really have to watch costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've used Social Tables at my previous venue and my current venue as replacements for older, less usable software. I've found their customer service is almost always above average and they are willing to make as many fixes as needed to get your floorplans up to where they need to be. They are generally quite quick to respond and do pretty well at maintaining personal relationships with their clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The BIGGEST downside to Social Tables hands down is the lack of mobile-friendly diagramming. They actually used to provide this service through an app you could download on a tablet or phone, but stopped servicing the app when they did an overhaul of the software. I was very distraught to learn this because I had no clue the app wasn't being updated as well and my staff at both my previous and current venues have tablets specifically so that they can diagram with clients onsite while conducting walkthroughs of the space. I think this needs to be remedied so either the website has a mobile friendly version or the app is updated/recreated immediately, as this is the largest downside and could only benefit them to fix. The other downsides are: they are unable to properly build out heights for spaces so all heights are arbitrary in 3D, gridline darkness/weight cannot be adjusted, you cannot make many adjustments when exporting your diagram as a PDF, and some other minor things. I have used Cvent Event Diagramming for clients. We used the diagramming to check layouts, arrange buffet, tables, sponsor booths, etc to determine it would work. Each item is great to help the event coordinator to check sizing and layouts before the event, and to show our client how things will look during the event. This helps in predicting final costs and producing a budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it was a little easier to share digitally with clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
