Top Rated Crew Alternatives
Crew is an easy messenger app that lets teammates message one another very much like Facebook Messenger does. There's a smartphone app, but you can also access it on your computer or tablet. You can comment and react to different posts or easily start a private conversation with a specific team member. You'll get alerts when new posts are added or people react to your post. Like Messenger, you can see who's viewed your post and who's reacted. Your team can have various chat rooms for different functions (i.e. one for questions, one for announcements, one for status updates). There's also a file system built in that functions similarly to Dropbox or Google Drive and allows admins to share documents with the group that they can reference at any time. You can add gifs, photos, or videos, but my group doesn't have much need for these functions, so I can't comment on their quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I'll receive several alerts on my phone and when I click on one to open the app, it will take me to the room where the post I clicked on from the alert is, but I've occasionally missed a post n another room that had come in at the same time. It's not a huge deal, because I could just get in the habit of checking all rooms before closing the app, but I wish that maybe the notifications were sorted by room and there was a setting option to not clear an alert until I'd opened that room.
I wish that there was the capability to create a room with a select group of co-workers. There are group chats with everyone on the team, or you can have a one-on-one chat with a teammate, but if a handful of people are working on a project together, I haven't found a way to create a room with just those few people. It's either one or all.
The reactions are a bit odd. There's a lot of reactions, like confetti, high-five, gold medal, etc, and they all have a specific thing they're each meant to say. Example: a thumbs-up reaction means "thanks," and when someone reacts to your post with a thumbs up you'll get an alert that "[person] said thanks." Then there's a "gold star" reaction which you can purchase to give to people as special recognition. If you give someone a gold star, there will be an announcement to the chat that the person received a gold star from you. I just don't understand the point of the gold star. Seems like an odd money grab. People don't get anything special for a gold star other than the recognition post about it. I personally don't see the point of giving out a gold star instead of just a gold medal reaction. That said, you don't need to purchase/use the gold stars, so it's not an annoyance, just sort of a pointless feature from my perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is the best app yet to keep in touch, brainstorm, schedule, and keep people in a group informed on what's happening and what's next. It not only has painless group/individual text messaging capabilities, but you can also record and send voice messages and even videos! I used it to send a short instructional of myself setting up a rather complicated piece of software, and people were able to replicate the algorithm. You can post schedules, schedules of shifts, etc. For the unpaid version, you are limited to 10 ppl per group, for paid is unlimited. Also, for the paid version you may have multiple admins. Also, you can use across multiple platforms: Android, iOS, Windows, and multiple devices per account, in parallel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only two things I dislike about crew are the following: If you try to send a message to everybody and you don't already have a conversation that you can reply to, you have to select everybody from the list individually. You cannot choose in bulk. The other very annoying thing for power users like me is that the app is always in portrait mode. It doesn't accommodate landscape mode. Also, there is a meager limit (10 ppl) for the unpaid version. Also, if you archive a thread by mistake, it is hard to recover it (counterintuitive). It doesn't have encription (as far as I know). I like the integrations with SMS and with my cheduled meetings. Makes communications with a small team really easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Calendar does have ditches from time to time. Sometimes unable to delete certain shirts or move them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is very little to like about his app considering it really doesn't work. The best part is the messaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This app is worthless. I have been using it for a couple of years, and it had some minor kinks and flaws, but it I was able to get things worked out with a little finesse. Now, it is worthless. Anytime I edit a shift it makes the in and out times the same on all future shifts. When I try to fix the problem it doesn't let me. Have reached out to support with the only reply being that we have escalted it. Meanwhile I am paying $30 month for an app I can't use. Support will not replay to emails and only replies once a day to chat support. Who ever owns this company should be embarrassed! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has so many unique features that really bring the organization together. From being able to upload and download files to group txt messages, being able to CALL other representatives without needing a phone number, adding birthdays and schedules - or even tasks for jobs. Its a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really wish it had an admin feature that could override personal information in case a Sales Representative isn't tech-savvy or being a little weird. Other than that, it has everything we need to stay alert and up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Crew is so good and it's easy to use I can connect with Mukti people at a time and it's like a great achievement when you do lots of work with a great outcome and I really appreciate the team who created this Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like about crew is that it's take some steps to install it could be more easy and more efficient to use it's just need little improvement and otherwise it's great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Incredibly convenient application to use and keep my whole crew connected as I can send the announcements quickly and effectively. It's totally separate from your actual phone which makes it pretty cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally, the notifications are missed (that's a rare thing, but happened a few times) and that was frustrating. However with time and updates, things are improving at a fast pace with very little complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The functionality of Crew is so intuitive. Not everyone on our team has the same level of tech-savvy, and it's fantastic to have technology accessible across generations and comfort levels with apps. Being able to reply and create threads is excellent, and the reactions confirm that folks read your message and let you have some fun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not sure if it's just my device, but I frequently have "phantom notifications" on my Crew app that are not accurate notifications but pop up on my phone nonetheless. It always shows that I have four unread messages, even if I have just left the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Crew app is one of the best connecting and collaborating apps I have used. It is straightforward to use and is smooth. Creating threads in the chat is very intuitive and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing much, but the app sometimes crashes in the middle of the work. Also, it sometimes shows a few notifications, but when I open the app to check, it disappears. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
